If that car was for sale down here I'd go trade mine in for it...I'd be upside down but hey, it'd be like me buying a brand new one at about 21K out the door. Ones here are hovering around $25K and dealers are wondering why they won't sell.

the paint got scratched and had to be repaired, no paint warranty, and I think it's technically a used vehicle so you only get a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty

Those have been up on their website for a few weeks now. They were originally priced at close to 19,000 if I remember correctly. I would have already bought that silver one if I lived any closer.

As for "paint damaged" vehicles, that just means they were on the lot outside the factory during one storm with high winds. Some cars had paint damage, some didn't. GM wrote off all the cars though. So check the car over closely for damage. And the warranty is the full GM factory warranty, except paint coverage.

I like this disclaimer on the site

could it be a ploy to get you into the dealer?

I took it for a test spin. It was raining out so that sucks. I love the seats, they kick ass. The brakes are really nice too. The power band it very smooth. The clutch is soft as hell. The guy is a good friend of my dads and he told me that its honestly not worth it for me to trade. He said I would probably get 12k for my 07 SS/SC, which is stock besides stg 2. He told me flat out they would resell mine for 14,000.
