cobalt ss/tc on chevy.com
To those thinking about trading up. Let me remind you of a few things...
1. Same car.. Different engine, wheels, brakes
2. Direct Injection. HARDER to tune then LSJ's fuel injection, No one knows how much the stock fuel pump can support, No fuel upgrades.
IF you want a turbo then swap over to a custom turbo kit. Costs less and will make better power.

^^ true but i kinda rather just start over with a turboed car that is under warranty.. for me theres just way too much at risk to ****** somethin up after the turbo is installed then ill be fucked. plus i'm looking for a fwd daily driver with a few mods here and there that is goin to be pretty damn fast.. and im startin to feel that the s/sc's arent goin to be looked at the same after the ss/tcs come out

GM is too dumb to produce a car like the old SRT-4's. lol

I hope so but time will tell.
yea but nothing major. if would happen to get it.. i'd just throw a gmpp exhaust on and probably an intake.. and a stage kit if gm were to come out with one.. everything else would be minor appearence mods
I think that GM has a stage kit in the works. It ups the hp to 290 and the tq to 310. But will it be available for the Cobalt? My guess is yes because I think the Cobalt will be the biggest seller with the LNF motor in it. but this is GM we are talking about.
Its sooo funny..
that the new car has barely come out and people want to already up the hp etc
.. Can't we all be happy and satisfied? Understand I can say this cause I have a 2.4L.. <<ok maybe that made no sense?
well, we already can assume that the GMPP SS/SC exhaust can bolt up to it... i think! and there's bound to be a CAI out within a few weeks of the car's release. there's a few HP right there!
i'm interested to know how it'll stack up on the autoX courses, or what class it would be in. an LSD, 260hp, sport suspension and brembo brakes will be a formidable package.

It's natural for a true enthusiast to want to get the most out of it. At least there aren't too many complaints that the LNF isn't enough power. If I weren't getting a Camaro in 2010, I'd be considering a 2009 Cobalt SS with extensive mods.
I can't wait to see all the people that say they're getting a new camaro, have their hopes, and dream smashed by the corvette like price tag it will have. It's going to be in the low thirty's no doubt.
1. Full tuning comes available
2. People actually learn how to tune it
3. We figure out how to upgrade the direct injection

I am going to be contacting a couple of dealerships out here and work out the best deal I can for one of these SS/TC.
I have already told the wife that I want something easier on gas than my pickup/motorhome and my SS when it gets done.
I will trade in my Silverado and pull the rwd car to the track behind the motor home.
Of course I will be ordering victory red just so I can challenge someone on the road to go to the track, and show up with the RWD look alike.
I have also promised the wife that I won't mod the '08 SS, but this she want's in writing.
