heres the lines i made from stainless for the 3071 im putting on in the near future.

if there was an easy way to make a solid oil line with restrictor i would. (friends le5 im using atm for mock up)

Hope you are flaring the end of the coolant line up by the valve cover
I agree hard lines look nicer

If you're using a efr you dont need a restrictor in the oil line

thats not an efr by the look of it.... looks like a percision

hope you surfaced those manifold flanges or zzp started doing it.... ive had 3 in a row now that were so warped at the turbo flange they would of leaked if i would of put them in. the head ones would of sucked up just fine when you bolted it up but the turbo one was so bad you could feel air running through it with a simple blow gun test

also another quick bit because i see some 304 sitting on top of motor..... i would go to sch10 bend right off the turbo... hot egts dont like that thin wall 304. i had one destroy the material recently and it wasent a weld failure. it tore right at the bend where there was no weld or o2 bung.

Its a gt3071. Where I work we build downpipes from 304 all the time never had an issue. Time will tell I guess. I'll probably do a quick surface on the mill before the manifold goes on.

Was it china 304 or actual good 304. There's a fairly big difference. Lol.

Come on man you really think I use chinese 304? Burns stainless 16ga 304 is what was used. With 100% penetrated back purged welds. The difference betwenen these are they egt temps. We build 304 downpipes all the time and 02 housings with no issues on other cars. These cars have a lot higher egt temps then other cars because of the di. Just use a sch10 bend off the turbo and you will thank me later. I've been working on these cars since 07 so I have had time to experiment.

Making the down pipe from 304 won't be an issue but for the 02 off the turbo use the sch 10 with thinner 304 to finish it off. he reason. Think some of the Zzp big turbo stuff doesn't break is because most people won't see egt temps near what I see. 15 minutes of on and off wide open throttle is a lot. you auto x I assume based off the pic so I would just trust me with this.

Yes mill or fly cut the flange. Use coolant or something of the nature when your doing it too.

yep. use a sch10 304 bend or a couple if need be. vibrant makes good ones believe it or not. You might be able to get away with 11 gauge 304 too but for what it costs i just did a tight radius sch10 bend for that guy and called it a day. all of our solstice pipes get a sch10 bend at the top too but its because we need that tight of a radius to clear the frame haha.

tip for saving some weight for you.... 6061 aluminum catback mine weights 13.1lbs with a single muffller and 3 v bands.

Thanks for the tip :P

Already have a custom 3 inch. I'll keep it in mind if I find myself with to Much money. Ha. For now I just want to get the turbo on :P. Unfortunately it might be a month or so because I'm going back to school at the beginning of next month for 2 months.
