Default Headlights to Off??

Is it possible to have the headlights default to off when turning the car on? I hate turning the the auto lights off every time I get in the car and then it beeps at me and I have to hit info to get the stupid message to go away.

Doesn't stop the auto-on if you're in shade and the sensor thinks it's dark enough. :P

Which is what I think he's asking for.

I think there is a setting on the HUD, like when you have to reset your oil change meter. I coul dbe wrong since I only went into that menu once so far but I know there is a bunch of **** you can change from there.

I know there's a control on my 06 in the DIC for the driving lights although on my model the driving lights are the parking lights and if they're turned on they come on when I have the car out of park.

I don't want to burn up my bulbs and I think DRL's look stupid on every car unless it's the parking lights. I went into the DLC and their is a setting for EXT LIGHTS, and that is set to off but they still default to auto on. I'm guessing everybody has DRL's unless they pulled the fuse? Does it throw a CEL? My Cavalier threw a CEL so I ended up shorting them to ground so the PCM would think they were on, but they weren't haha. I may have to get a schematic for the lights and figuring out how to do this again.

i see it being much easier just turning them off lol, it takes like .5 secs lol.

pulling the fuse wont give you a cel but the lights will still come on.

Remove the daylight sensor connector and put a jumper in place of the sensor.
