i have a year subscription to onstar but it is ghey. i hate onstar. the customer service is located in the philipines. there emails to my service provider apparently bounce back so they say. i dont have them blocked and its not going in my junk mail and there is no firewall. so they want another email act. i dont think so. so i get random calls from them on my cell phone to fix my email account but its not broken. there IT dept is wack. they should have went to india instead of the philipines. so i have a free year subscription that is not going to get used. i want to physically disable onstar but not disable it with them yet. is there a wire in the trunk or somewhere i can just unplug with out adversely affecting my xm radio. thank you! in addition to this problem, i dont think its cool that they log your gps coordinates.

 

1. Push blue OnStar button

2. Say "I want to cancel my service."

3. Repeat step 2 until desired results are achieved.

OnStar is not associated with XM, and cancelling it will not affect your service. Tinkering with your vehicle wiring just might, though. Be careful.

 

they may tell you you need to go to the dealer to cancel, its not the case, ask for a supervisor then say you want to cancel your service
