dual interceptors installed but wont turn OFF right away!

i think ive read this somewhere on here, that someone had the same problem. i put dual interceptors in and love them BUT i go to get out of my car for the first time after installing them and they dont shut off,it took about a minute to turn off. the second time it took about a minute also but then i just got out of my car and they didnt turn off for the 2 minutes i stood there outside of the car (i had hot food waiting for me lol)

i park in a garage and never lock my car. does it matter if you lock the car or anything like that?

i just dont want these things killing my battery. ive done that with my Valentine One and killed my battery. wasnt a good way to start the day! lol ive fixed the valentine one problem.

i bought them used but there are 2 wires with plugs on the ends,1 of those plugs into each gauge and then i plugged it in to the ODB2 port.

Possibly they are getting power from the BCM. Which if i'm correct runs for a minute or so then shuts off. Try re-wiring them to let's say, the sunroof fuse so they go off when you turn your key off and open the door.

ohh boy. i dont have a sun roof lol haha i dont care if they run for a minute after i leave the car,i just dont want them running for like 10 minutes and possibly kill my battery. id like to avoid hacking up the harness that came with the interceptors.

right now im running dual interceptors only. i may reroute the stock boost gauge to the little cubby hole by your left knee if your sitting in the drivers seat but i wont ever use the stock boost gauge. so if i were to tap into the wires for the stock boost gauge harness, would that solve this problem? if i do it that way would i would still plug it into the OBD2 port,i would just be pulling power from the stock boost gauge wiring, right? or wrong? lol

Any fuse that runs from Accesory. (Spelling)

It isnt too hard, Simply snip the wire and re-wire it to an add a fuse, and plug the add a fuse into a fuse slot. Like the radio or something.

It is completely normal for the interceptors to run for a minute or two after you shut the car off. If your worried about it just unplug them every time you get out of ur car.

They don't draw nearly enough power to kill your battery that quickly. You would probably have to leave them on overnight.

For why? If the cars not turned on accessory then they shouldn't drain any power right? Idk never once had an issue with mine.

You either tapped into the fuse box or the pink wire on the boost gauge, in which case if you remove the jumpers the gauge will shut off when the car shuts off, cause it's wired directly with the boost gauge which is wired to the ignition. Now on the Lnf the obdII will power it alone but is not connected to the ignition which is why it takes several minutes to shut off. I notice mine shut off faster after I lock the car.

You should not have to if your an Lnf. Mines just plugged into the obdII. They hut off 5 minutes or so after I lock the car.

Ive left my detector on overnight before...battery was fine.

My interceptor sometimes turns off right away and some times takes a while.
