Dynoed SS/TC

Mods: K&N Drop-In Air Filter, Dejon Hot Side Charge Piping with HKS BOV

Considering I do NOT have a tune of any sort, my car has learned down those two "mods". I made: 238.81whp & 243.98wtq That was the 2nd out of 3 runs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqZxRMXxoCg

My 3rd, & my last run, was atrocious! I think I made like 219whp, and 224wtq. I was heat soaking like a bitch!

Let me know what you guys think!

Not exactly a GIANT waste, it just don't give you that much power. And when I am tuned, it's going to come in handy.

spending money on bolt ons before a tune is not a waste of money! For those that do not know anything about the tuning of these cars.......a little info that i have learned!............YOU SHOULD do a intake (if you are going to do one) and DEFFINETLY do a down pipe before you get tuned because of the air tables you car needs to be tuned for whatever intake you have, AND your airflow will be completely different (better) with a high flow or catless downpipe. LETS NOT SPREAD IGNORANCE.

intakes are the BIGGEST single waste of money for this car. You can make more with a k&n filter and airbox mod than any intake

true to some degree.... (i found out after i spent $300) kinda sucks.... Tuned properly you will see similar numbers, but that is also part of the reason i said IF you are going to do an intake tune after.....and you will see the most gains from a down pipe...... i ran with intake, dp, and muff delete..... 254whp stock tune.

yeah, dave has lots of time invested in tuning out MAF frequencies from intakes... I however do not. Nor do I care to have to.

When I find an intake that I just CANT live without then I will bite the bullet. Untill then my K&N works fine.

I've made PLENTY of power through the stock box... more than enough to make my tires beg for mercy on a 2nd gear rolling punch.

Not really.... he's not tuned. It'll just lower boost or drop throttle % to keep it at pretty much those same numbers!

You get 10-15whp on a tuned car with a downpipe.... a stock tune car... maybe 2-5.

Yeah stock clutch with about 10k miles... holding just peachy! No slips no thing!

And i'm making the same power as dave... if not a little more depending on which tune I am running!

nice numbers........when we tuned my car we did 4th gear pulls burnt the clutch up a little bit but its fine now no problems yet...........knock on wood (no homo)
I made 60hp over my base run stock down pipe has to give more power than that isnt there a thread that shows stock car with stock down pipe sheets, and then with a down pipe.
i made 254whp and 277wtq with dp, intake, muffler delete... and 314whp and 357wtq tuned by treminator2 (dave).. good guy deffinetly did a good job

Should have pulled the battery cable before the 2nd run and reset the PCM.....would have been interesting to see what it pulled before the learn down.
