Take it to autozone and have them tell you the code. I guarantee though it's due to the catless dp.

^^^^^ Need an O2 bung extender if it doesn't have an angled bung for the rear O2 sensor.

Your in Coquitlem... we dont really have shops that will scan your car for codes for free in vancouver, most will charge. Scanning a code is having the shop use a diagnostic tool to find out the cause of the engine light.

That being said, your mostly stock and not tuned so Id go back to the dealership and drop it off there and have them take care of it

hope that helps

That's what I think aswell, should i worry about it? I still have to get my power steering fix at the dealer would they fix it? Or should I keep it hush hush to them

The mpx catless dp has 3 places to put the o2 sensor should I move it to a different spot?

There should be a spot on that one where there is a piece of pipe coming off of the DP that is angled. Put it there.

Edit. NVM just looked at the pic of it. Doesn't have it for some reason.

They should have done it like the Hahn one they sell

if its that o2 sensor thats throwing the code, the dealership will probably charge you for an hour labour plus diagnostic fees and anything else they can think of at that time to tack on the bill and say since your dp is aftermarket, they are voiding that part of the warranty.

Where did you get the dp installed? if at a shop, go back to them and ask them to scan the code for you, post the code on here or find that thread where it lists all the codes, then you will know if its your DP.

If you installed it yourself, maybe grab the best looking girl you know and have her drive your car into a kal-tire or something like that and have her ask the tech about the engine light, most likely they'll scan it for free lol

I wouldnt worry about the engine light too much if your car drives the same, but I wouldnt ignore it either.

I don't see why it should be angled, I am assuming it gets a better reading? Maybe if I shuffle around my O2 sensor I can fix the light

I installed it myself. GM would look at me like a cash cow.. car drives fine no problems at all. Like u said I shouldn't ignore it at the same time

Once the code is thrown if u could fix the problem by yourself does the light go away or u have to get it reset to get rid of the engine light

It goes away in time, or you can disconnect the battery for ~15 mins to reset it.
