1.. set car to comp mode " this is the same mode you have to be in to do no lift shift "
2.. hold clutch in and floor the gas
3.. the engine program is set to hold at 5100 rpm in this mode
4.. let out clutch smooth and quick
the car will launch and there will be little wheel hop. you can no lift shift or shift norm.

Dont let the clutch out too quickly - otherwise it bogs and doesnt launch. Once it is held at 5100rpm, just let the clutch out at a normal speed. If you "dump" the clutch it bogs.

Ive actually found the launch control to be gimicy - you can get a better launch doing it yourself. Now the no-lift shift is great

im with "isitfast" i found out launching the car yourself is better...

DO NOT DUMP THE CLUTCH I REPEAT DO NOT ... your car will hop ... then stop then take off you probably wont run better then a 14.7 if you dump it.... just let the clutch off smooth and quick but not to fast that you dump it

I launch the car myself around 3k and i have good launches the tires dont spin and i dont hop... yea i dont launch to fast but i GRIP and thats all that matters and my times are getting better... idk maybe some1 who drives better then me can launch at 5k but I seem to spin almost the whole way to 2nd gear

Ok, sorry for a stupid question but what is "no lift shift?" I have never heard of that except for just buying this car. I hadn't driven a manual for 18 years before this.

Basically it allows you to stay at WOT and shift without lifting off the accelerator. Now, while people have been doing this for years, GM has gone and reprogrammed the ECU to reocgnize that the upshift is coming and automatically adjusts everything to allow you to make lightning fast shifts without damaging your drivetrain.

So it can only be in competition mode for this? I want to try it out today.

Seems as though everyone but me thinks so.

I have no lift shifted in regular mode.

No rev limiter bullshit.

Pops, just like in comp mode...but to be safe just put it in comp mode.
