Where do you all buy Ferodo HP1000 from???

Those are Brembo pads not Ferodo

The OEM replacements you get from CED are the Ferodo pads.

DO NOT get brakes from autozone unless youre a cheapass and want cheap **** on the car

 

I do want Ferodo pads, and I prefer thrifty lol.

You suck at reading. Everyone is telling you to buy them. The picture is a little unclear, but the pads are STAMPED with Ferodo HP1000 on the backing plate. It is hard to see on the CED picture, but it is there.

This took all of 10 seconds of searching.

Like everyone has said, FERODO makes the pad but BREMBO markets them as their own. Its that simple. Listen to wangspeed. Look at the pic. And that CED price is actually a good price. Front pads used to be like $170 when they first came out. You can also get them from R1Concepts. I personally use the stock ferodo pads up front with HAWK HPS on the rear.

 

I didnt' say it was BS, I just asked WHY they wouldn't say the product name???

Seems pretty common practice when selling a product to say it's name....

$ 100 for the rears ????


I heard that there were some mix problems with the batches that wre installed on our cars - I wonder if these have that resolved, and along w/ a good slide pin lube would not chew up the rears.

Any ideas ?

Because the name of the manufacturer is not always the same as the "brand" name. The GMPP exhausts for the LSJ are actually made by Borla. Does not say Borla on them at all, says GMPP, but it's still a Borla exhaust. Some OEM wheels are made by "aftermarket" manufacturers. My "GM" Pontiac G6 wheels that I use for my snow tires are actually made by Enkei.

So the Ferodo pads could be sold under Ferodo.....or Brembo.....or whatever they so choose. Happens all the time.

I hadnt heard of a compound mix issue on the rears. The slide pin issue would be up to you to fix by lubing it properly when you are swapping out the pads next time.

I did mine by cleaning it all up real nice when I had it apart, putting the new HAWKS on and making sure that EVERYTHING had the proper amount of lube on them. The slide pins have rubber booties on them to keep the grease in there but it def needs to be redone everytime you do the brakes.

My advise would be to just get them from ced. It's an expensive pad, and the only way your really gonna be able to get them cheaper is if you know someone who works at a dealership, and can get them at a discount for you. These pads are a low stock item that you're gonna have to order from an oem Parts supplier.

 

Yeah my dealer said he'd have to order them and they'd cost $384....
