Fk You Clutch Master Cylinder...

So I went to go put my ZZP clutch rod in today. No biggie, read up on it and everything. Well, I go to pull the master cylinder and realize you can turn it all the way around. So, I read up and see that IamBroke said 270 degrees clockwise. Well, I yanked and yanked on that ***** and of course it didn't come. I then looked up the topic on google. CSS.com had a thread about it. Some ******* in there said 90* counterclockwise. I thought about that and was thinking that should be in the same general spot IamBroke said so I tried it and yet again, no success. So I turn this master cylinder and yank on it for prob 3 hours before I take a break. As I take a break cause I'm pretty pissed, I read through IamBroke's thread to later see on te 2nd page that he couldn't edit his OP for some reason and it was 90* CLOCKWISE....so I go outside and yank and twist on it for another hr. It finally comes out. I sit it to the side of the firewall and pull on the clutch pedal. The rod comes out of the clutch pedal 1st, no biggie tho. I just put it in the Vise on my bench. Well, with a pair of vise grips and a hammer while the master cylinder rests in the vise upside down I yank the rod out. But not only did I yank the rod out, I yank the whole clip end that keeps the rod inside the master cylinder out of it. So I have looked everywhere in my garage and cannot find that clip....in which case its looking like I'm going to buy a master cylinder...and that is why I say F*UCK YOU MASTER CYLINDER!!

This sounds like a typical day for me to do a "2hr-job." Every time someone tells me it's a "2-hr job," I automatically assume that means it will take all day and I have to spend twice as much as I thought I was going to. Sorry, Faster, that SUCKS!!

My wife doubles the amount of time I tell her for any car related work estimates

Thanks man, lol! Its just one bad thing after another. I'm hoping installing my new master cylinder with the clutch rod and turbo kit this weekend isn't nearly this bad. I know the clutch was a bitch as a bearing fell off one of my knuckles on my axle somehow thus junking the axle when I drove it and one of my slave cylinder bolts decided to twist a torx off in it and strip itself(those are now grade 8 hex bolts), not to mention I locked my keys in the car, and slammed my entire hand in the door(yes it latched completely) due to being tired...

Eh, cause I've had bad luck with vac bleeders. Was using a refrigerant tank charged to absolute vaccuum. Didn't know if I needed that plunger to goe where my cap goes as well or what.

when you try to take the old clutch rod out you need that metal tool to get it out. just like the tool you use for the fuel filter. than it releases the rod out of the clutch master cylinder.

and when the clutch master cylinder was still in the fire wall that is wwhen you suppose to yank on the clutch pedal to get the clip off the clutch rod. than the clip will stay in the pedal and now you have the clutch rod and master cylinder in the wall by it self. and you can just take the clip out of the pedal with pliers.

than just turn it clockwise and you got your master cylinder out. than just do what i said up top. get that tool to release the old clutch rod. than just put the new clutch rod in.

See, I thought that would work with my fuel filter removal tool but every write up I saw never even mentioned that fker....so I assumed you weren't supposed to use it.

By now its prob above 18 and closer to 10 since I used it. I have a valve on it to control it that seems to work well.

Pshhh my Car has been on the lift for 3 days now, and I'm just changing my Axles... My passenger side rusted to the intermediate shaft and I broke the shaft. Couldn't find one on CED, ZZP, OTT, or TTR, so I just went and over nighted one from the dealer ship. 2 days later it's not here....

Yeah, thats the one I was thinking about using. I bought one to remove the fuel filter on the truck and realized it was threaded fittings....

Still no luck, new master cylinder with zzp clutch rod installed and cranked out to match the factory rod. I have no clutch pressure what so ever. Vacuum bled and same ****, no clutch pressure. Something has gotta give here.
