Full boost no power?!?
Full boost no power?!?
Is it possible to be making full boost and still be low on power without setting a cel?
My car seems to not want to make decent power untill after 4k rpm. If im moderately accelerating showing about 5psi on the rpd and floor it after 2k rpm it goes to approx 15 psi and holds but I dont feel any more power/acceleration until above 4k then it starts to progressively pull better. Before 4k the exhaust note seems bogged like im trying to accelerate from 20mph in third. Wtf, wheres this 260 at 2k they advertise. If I unhook the battery for a bit and hook it back up it runs great. Exactly how id expect it to be. But as soon as I turn the car off all the power goes away. Its at the dealer now getting this looked at among other little things.
Any ideas?

That would have the opposite effect. An intake or exhaust restriction would choke it out at higher rpms. It wouldnt pick up power. And the fact that a ecu reset fixes the problem for a bit makes me think its a electrical prob not mechanical. Maybe a bad calibration? I really want to take a ride in another stock t/c to see if its just in my head
This is what you are experiencing======> https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lnf-performance-tech-153/new-ss-tc-falls-its-face-172487/
Is it new or have hardly any miles on it? My car did this too me when it was new . The exhaust note would change and sound like it was choking. After 1100 miles or so , it has stopped doing it for the most part. Every once in awhile it happens when my tank gets close to empty lol. This car is a women .....she get's bitchy sometimes.
Hmm, I'm not entirely sure if mine's doing it or not. So the resolution is to put it in third, hammer it through the power band a few times and the ECM "re-learns" what a WOT run is? Is it just me or does that seem completely insane...how does the ECM "forget" this?
Yeah about that.......I'm not real sure how or why or if it works .......but my car was a pig when it was new , i mean..... sounded like it was running on 3 cylinder's.... bad, between 2500 and 4K rpm.
No it isnt.

Mine's at 6200km now but I've never noticed any bogging when I merge on the highway in 3rd gear...it sounds about the same and pulls about the same from the day I picked it up. Odd problem that's for sure, sounds like it doesn't necessarily affect every TC?
Mine only does it in 1st and 2nd for some reason, i've never felt it in 3rd 4th or 5th.
