Gm Stage 1 kit

Hello all just wondering is there anywhere that still sells the GM stage 1 kit? Everywhere I've looked so far is out of stock.

The kit with the authorization code required to do the gm stage tune at a dealer is long gone. I'm a dealer tech and I spent extensive time trying to hunt one down for mine to make it legit and had no luck. I just went and bought the plug and play kit with sensors from zzp (cheaper than ced) then found a vin that had the gm stage tune done at a dealer from another user and reprogrammed my car with it. Your only options are is to do the same as I did if you got a friend at a dealer, have someone with hp tuners do a tune after you get the kit, or buy hp tuners for yourself and have fun. The stock and also gm stage tune is out there if you wanna be conservative and have a fallback while you learn it yourself.

Kolt, sounds like you have this answer available for copy/paste. I had asked this too recently only because CA smog requires a stock tune. I just decided to keep my stock sensors and flash back to stock via HPT every 2 years. The better solution would have been to not have sold my old one that had the factory GMS1.

I've have 2 different pcm's that have a different vin than the car i own. My last 08 chevy cobalt ss was t-boned by a Tesla. I since bought another 08 Chevy cobalt ss & can successfully use the last cars computer that has a different vin #. I just had to do a security relearn. To do the security relearn, follow the instructions on zzp's website.

It worked. I did have to license my car and the tune so it cost me 4 credits. The ecm doesn’t care what vin is on the tune. I didn’t even have to relearn the security.
