gm upgrade kit for cobalt more than we thought

I HAVE BEEN FINDING THIS EVERYWHERE

NEW LNF GM upgrade stage kit, Cobalt kit = 315HP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone seen this yet?
SEMA show release info in November.

The Cobalt kit will be 315 hp @ 4800 rpm [+55] = GM Part number 19212670.
The kit for 290 hp @ 5200 rpm [+30] is for the HHR with an automatic transmission.

"The Californa Air Resources Board (CARB) published a CARB cert for this tune today. It was executed on Aug 22nd. This means that this tune will be 50 state legal, does in fact exist, and is probably close to release.

From the cert:

"The LNF Turbocharged Ecotec Upgrade Kit includes a calibration update, two mass air flow/intake air temperature sensors (TMAP sensors) to replace the stock manifold absolute pressure sensor and the TMAP sensor, and installation hardware."

The hardware part number is 12626990.

The calibration part numbers are:

2007 auto trans : 12625958
2007 manual trans : 12625959
2008 auto trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625952
2008 manual trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625954
2008 auto trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625951
2008 manual trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625953

2008 chevy hhr auto trans : 12625956
2008 chevy hhr manual trans : 12625957
2008 chevy cobalt manual trans : 12625955

dunno bout everyone else but i thought we were all getting 290hp not 315hp

EDIT: the point of this is not to say o look an upgrade the point is that the cobalt isn't gettin 290 hp like everyone else it is getting 315 hp

Eek, another repost of this information. We're all excited for the kit, but try searching for it on the forum before starting a new thread. This is old news bro.

actually the ss/hhr doesn't have the breathing prob our cars do so we will likely get more hp cause we will prob need an intake to come with the kit.... just what i have heard..... which would explain why we don't have the same kit as any other lnf

ATTENTION EVERYBODY

To the next person thinking about telling us how you heard this might come (possibly) with a CAI (you heard)

"From the cert:

"The LNF Turbocharged Ecotec Upgrade Kit includes a calibration update, two mass air flow/intake air temperature sensors (TMAP sensors) to replace the stock manifold absolute pressure sensor and the TMAP sensor, and installation hardware.""

Now kindly shut the **** up.

Hey bud you didn't have to PM me, I would have responded

But now I won't. If you can't figure out why the certification (or, for that matter, what it is!) should be trusted over your "what you heard" you're far too dumb to be helped.

Sorry I tried!

Edit: And you should really work on your defense mechanisms, my man. I was openly criticizing a group of retards spewing information founded in fairytales, you sure lumped yourself in with that group awfully quick...

Great! We're getting closer to making you realize why you should really just refrain from speaking from now on.

The source you've just cited is certainly a little closer to the situation that you, but unfortunately you're still ******* stupid.

The kit for our cars has been CARB certified. The details of the CARB certification HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO YOU.

What is so difficult to understand?

Wait, I just realized that YOU posted this thread. YOU don't understand what YOU posted.

Holy **** this forum sucks.

Edit: Why are you PMing me every time you reply, you insufferable *****?

Edit2: "ooo yeah and cause the cert is just for the turbo kit upgrade which could be either the one for the cobalt or the one for the sky solstice hhr"

"This means that this tune will be 50 state legal, does in fact exist, and is probably close to release."

It's already out for everything else

That was a typo, 315 is the amount of torque on the hhr at/mt. All the kits have 290hp@5200rpm. No one knows how much hp the cobalt will have because it hasnt been announced, but i'll bet it'll be 290 like all the other kits.
Gm isnt going to give you an extra 25hp because you're special, with clutch slipping issues 290 is most likely all you'll get, its the torque number that is up in the air.
