GMS1 Code.......

so from what i know if you buy gms1 you are given a code well the tech is, but i wonder can that code be used more than once ie on a different car?

well i ask cause i had went to a chevy dealership to ask if they could get part numbers for black radio/HVAC and HHR SS steering wheel airbag(pointless stop it was) and decided to ask and thats the option i was givin

nope the code is good for that one time use they link it to your vin number. so if you need any warranty work and see your icu flashed they wont trip all ready have had mine replaced and my tune was still there

The dealer actually has to call in to register the code to your VIN which then authorizes the stage 1 upgrade. Did you think GM would be that stupid not to have a check in place?

well they did down the cobalt for a cruise, so yeah i thought they might have slipped up a little....
