Gms1 dyno results very surprised!

Ran my car today on the dyno. Results from gms1 tune are awesome! Best numbers were 268whp and 297wtq better than i expected. Stock on the same dyno i ran 229whp and 219wtq. Thats an increase of 39whp and 78wtq with just the tune. Ill post my printouts up later

and another SS with a stock setup that ran shortly after me hit 236whp and 221wtq so there doesnt seem to be any discrepincies since my last run so those considering Gms1 go for it! Decent gains and still warrantied!! and yes i am aware they are two different pulls... tq only varies by 6. first pull was cut off at 4,500rpm from comp mode not liking the dyno and it still made decent numbers lol

That's pretty awesome... Cant beat those #'s while keeping your warranty.

What was your total after all was said and done?

I've seen the Stage 1 for 485 from CED; how much was the install?

$550 for kit at CED and $175 for install. So grand total was $725

Why's that ? The numbers themself mean nothing ..... it's the difference that shows the gain. People here get caught up on high number and rate dyno's by how high the baseline is .... not the actual gain .

yeah especially considering a lot of dynos are high yielding... personally, i'd rather get on something like a loaded Mustang dyno, so that when you get your results you KNOW you are at least at that whp... I mean you can get on a dynojet and gain 30whp, but you don't really have that........the dyno just sucks and if you say hit 300whp on your dynojet and then run a car that REALLY has 300whp, well, more than likely you're going to get smoked... dyno numbers mean nothing to me, its why I've never been

but this guy did do it right, go stock, then go again, the actual gain is more important than anything

Yeah I am a little surprised you Ran on a Dyno Jet and only got 268 and 297.

I ran on a Mustang Dyno and Ran 268 WHP and 288 WHTQ With the GMS1

I ran 239 WHP and 240 WTQ stock.

OP did you happen to get a good tune? because that would make a big difference imo.

Did you guys overlook the fact that he put down a base line of 229whp and 219wtrq? So really he actually made BETTER numbers gaining 39whp and 78trq, over 1SLOT1's 29whp and 48trq gains. Don't get hung up on the hp numbers, focus more on the total gains across the entire power curve

Not sure what you mean did i get a good tune? My gms1 numbers are alot better than rated by gm. And my stock numbers are very similiar to the stock numbers of another stock ss on the same dyno right after me which proves consistency with our without correction since the day i did my stock dyno run it was 32C and 23% humidity and the day he ran his it was high humidity and roughly 15C. So we both had very close numbers stock and totally different weather conditions.. Which says to me weather does not play as huge factor as one would think in a car controlled by a computer. Besides that the calculator whitty used pointed out SAE numbers are actually higher than ours corrected so if i make decent numbers uncorrected who cares about a 2-3 hp difference? Im more than happy with my numbers and gains

I thought the ss/tc were rated at like 235hp stock or somewhere around there? or is it b/c yours is a sedan? I mean especially since you got yourself a turbo there, maybe Im getting confused with the tc guys that get an aftermarket stage kit with a good tune compared to gm... idk

sedan and coupe are the same and are both rated at 260hp and 260tq at the crank not the wheels. My stock numbers were 229whp and 219wtq.. This latest pull was with the gms1 only ... No other mods or tunes . There is no set number it should be on a dyno... Each dyno reads differently.

No he did get a huge gain in power.....I know it also depends on altitude and stuff I am at sea level. I was just surprised that he dyno'd that low on a Dyno Jet I would have figured that he would put down higher numbers than the same car on a Mustang Dyno.

Meh numbers dont mean a thing its all relative to the dyno .. Its the gains that matter.
