GOT MY SS/TC..2nd member with it
hey guys just an FYI
A K&N filter for the stahdard 2005/2006 2.2/2.4 balt fits the turbo car. I bought one today and put it in. Put 500 miles on mine over the weekend. Dropped the hammer once using no lift shift and it barbecued the tires through first (serious tire light up) and a little in second before going warp speed LOL.
I also noted that their isn't much point in putting a cat back on it (maybe a muffler if louder is your thing) as its 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless front to rear.
turbo to intercooler tube could use some work though.
At 60 MPH I got 34.5 MPG on flat level ground. At 78 MPH I got 29/30. Above that its in the 27 to 25's.
At Wot its 12/13. Fuel mileage got 3 to 4 better as it was breaking in.

I would love to get one of the new cars... I really would. However, the only thing holding me back would be starting over again with payments. I'd love to start over with a new car though. I'd do a few things different.

Yeah, I'd probably have an 08 SS if it wasn't for the fact that I discovered it AFTER I bought mine. I got kinda upset. I was thinking that they were doing away with the SS models and that I was buying the last new one. By new I mean that it had 100 miles in 2007. Never owned.
Also if you own a TC car the clicking you hear is the fuel injectors firing. They fire at about 2000 PSI and it sounds like lifter noise but it isn't. Its the injectors popping off. All DI cars make that noise even the new CTS Caddies. However on the caddies theres an acoustic cover over the engine to absorb the clicking you hear.
Actually the second stage pump is pretty quiet on mine with the pulse damper in the line. But your right the pumps make quite a bit of noise to. Anyway its all good. doesn't bother me a bit. There is a cover over the fuel pump to damp some noise from it.
