It's about 60% here. Might even be down to 55%.

Agreed, they're targeting sedans. My black sedan was hit high in the front passenger side. Fixed it with my dad, and I have a not half bad looking 95,000 mile SS sedan for $4000. If you can fix her do it!! Hope they don't total it. The estimate for my car was $4500 but I bought it from the guy before anything major happened. Still a clean title.

My 08 Coupe got rocked a few years ago. 9k in damage and they didnt total it. I wish they did with all the shitty latent problems that developed down the road....

Already found two sedans I'm interested in and there's also an HHR on here that caught my eye

They will give you full retail value for the car if they total it. So probably 11-12k range depending on your area and your cars specific mileage and options.

For me, i'd try to buy the car back. Take the total check, then get the car fixed cosmetically and throw a new axle in it.

If you didn't care about the cosmetic damage you could have that panel patched up pretty cheap and have the same basic car with a damaged fender, and 10k in your pocket...

I'm most likely going to buy it back. We'll see what the bid comes back at

Geez, I just realized you were the one who showed me the turboxs exhaust on the sedan. How untimely this happened to you right after it happened to me. Sorry that the damage was so high. Hope in the end it works out and you can buy the car back

Car is now in my garage. Bought it back and will take all my goodies and probably sell it to a salvage yard

Replacement has been located and I will be flying out to see it in person before pulling the trigger

Correct, I'm going with another sedan. Found one real close and I'm going to fly in to pick it up - 60K miles, sport red tintcoat and completely unmolested

There's another that I found in Illinois with only 28K miles but I refuse to pay $16K for a 7 year old car.
