Hahn Intake = No A/C
Hahn Intake = No A/C
Now that summer is here, I noticed my A/C doesn't blow cold. So I hooked it up to a gauge set, and sure enough, 0 PSI. I bought the car used in January, so I didn't know if it had been evaculated for some reason or if it had a leak. So I charged it up, and sure enough refrigerant starts shooting out from the side of the high-side fitting port.
Turns out the Hahn intake, which was on the car when I bought it, had actually rubbed a hole in the side of the soft aluminum A/C line right next to the high-side fitting. So not I either need to try and repair the line (not likely) or buy a new line from GM (expensive). I don't know if its the design of the intake that causes it to be too close to the line, or perhaps an incorrect installation (looks fine from what I saw though) but its definitely an issue nontheless.
So the question is, has anyone else had this happen, or almost happen??

This really sucks. I'll have to see if I can hit up a couple of my friends who are good welders, that would be a nice fix.
What did you do to get your intake to stop rubbing?? Right now I have a piece of foam in between the intake and the line, ghetto fix.
The hole in the line is basically a pin hole, very small, but bad enough to cause a refrigerant leak.
