help on breaking into the 12s on gms1
sounds good. Dont think I dont know I am leaving a ton of time on the table on the gms1. But I would like to kiss the mid to low 12s on radials with a tune OVER GMS1. Once i get the suspension worked out I think it will be doable.
My track prep sucks also haha its not bad on a big race weekend but you will only get a few passes. test and tune style nights they dont really do anything but sweep it off.

I will say that the nose of my car does not lift at all anymore since I put my Pedders on. Hooks a lot better now. The fact that the nose is a lot lower than the rear helps a lot.
You could run a .045 pill on your gms1 for the extra 1ish psi. I know it wont throw a code at all for a fact. Me and my friend put a .035 on his gms1 car and logged it just to see on the stock gms1 tune, didn't really knock even though the afr was really lean to me, although I ran .86 lambda then too...

those tires don't have a very high speed rating. I'd prefer to have a speed rating of at least 150+...I won't be going that fast, but with enough mods you can get close to 120...and for me that's just too close for comfort.

The Conti's will rape them in handling, but not traction.
hopefully you guys realize that a tires speed rating:
1) has a safety margin
2) is rated for that speed for a given duration of time
you can exceed the tires ratings - especially if it's for short durations...
... just trying to help.

Rules are meant to be broken.....
But My suggestion on this tire isn't anything more than the amount of traction they provide on launching. And 2nd gear drops.

soundjunky stated the exact reason I dont really worry about speed rating. From what I remember reading most tires are rated at that speed for a 10 min and I am sure failure would be well after that time. Who is going to be able to go over 100 for that long?
WIll check out those tires however If I am spending any money Im putting clicks on it after I break 12s
