help please.

Hi all this is my first post and I just joined. So i just bought a 2010 ss a few months ago but I live in Canada and don't want to drive her in the snow so I drove it for a week and a bit and it's been parked since. I can't leave things alone (mod bug) so I'm stock piling parts and putting them on over the winter. I have a Injen intake that I put on the same day I bought it and it doesn't seem to like it. When I'm accelerating slowy or let off gradually it seems to surge and choke it self. Is this normal? Also when I went through the car wash, I went for a quick burn up the highway and it started choking and sputtering at wot and then the cel came on. I kept driving it for about an hour after that and it seemed to of fixed itself (englite went out and it pulled good again but still does the light throttle stupidness). Ohh and fore the record it has 21000km on it and came with a gms1. Sorry for the essay haha.

Ohh one more, so far I got the twm kit with base and clamp, r1 slotted and dimpled with hps pads, sport lines, catch can, forge bpv, and just ordered a k&n short ram to try and rectify my surging.

the k&n will be alot better, but to have your car running 100% your gonna want to get it tuned.

Not sure yet I've ordered two interceptors and pod from modern so when they come in I'll hook them up and get a reading.

Other than the parts I already have(posted ones), I'm also debating on exhaust and dp as well as intercooler and piping. Im thinking mpx exhaust and hahn intercooler and piping. Do these parts sound ok?

MPx exhaust sounds amazing. Get a downpipe as well since they are the most restrictive part of the exhaust and get a ZZP intercooler.

Is the zzp better than the hahn or mpx intercoolers? I'm not afraid of price I just want the best parts.

your really gonna want to look into getting a tune, all these parts are doing nothing but making your car run worse without a tune.

Well I heard of a few Hahn intercoolers blowing out or breaking welds. MPx I have never heard bad things about and same with ZZP. I have the ZZP and its great and their customer service is top notch.

I'm going to go with trifecta (I like the on off with cruise control a lot) as soon as I put all my parts on. I'm waiting for everything to come in because I ordered it all with in 2 days and still need to order the exhaust, down pipe, intercooler, piping and clutch/flywheel tomorrow and shipping times suck when I order stuff from the States.

Treadstone TR8 intercoolers are good as well ..that's what I'm running

Hahn is really over priced IMO, I do like my Hahn 3in exhaust tho, deff get a catleas downpipe

My goal is to be fully bolted and be around the 350 and 350 mark. I don't need it to be crazy because it is fwd and I have my vette and cbr for when I need to go crazy fast. I love this little car and think its a blast to drive. To remove the smiles off faces with a cobalt from the unsuspecting is the best.

Trifecta tunes are good.. but conservative ...HPT are more aggressive. Both are great, all depends on what you're going for

You do know the tune is only aggressive if you make it aggressive. It does not matter what tunning software it is.
Lol. Oh and you mentioned it's stealth to techs which I'm sure most techs know of this trick. I recieved my car back with cruise control turned on, pretty sure they were quick checking if I was tuned. They are car freaks like us too

You're not going to reach 350 hp on 94 petrol.

Your earlier issue could be caused by a few different things. The easiest thing to do would be to take that junk Injen intake off and put the stocker back on to see if your problem goes away. If it doesn't, you have the classic lower GMS1 TMAP sensor wiring issue. We need codes to be sure, though.
