How do you get the recirc line off ?!?!

So, I wanted to paint my valve cover, but it has turned into a day long fiasco trying to get the damn recirc line off the valve cover. Its this little guy here (crappy cell pic ftl).

Any help or tips would be appreciated!

Any type of fuel line disconnect tool will work to get the line off.

Normally yes, but not to this line since there's no space to insert the disconnect tool.
Just tape up the line and paint away.

The braded line that connects to the intake and to the valve cover is part of the PCV system... Is that the line you are trying to remove?

I tried to take that off the other day, and was unable to get my fuel line disconnect tool to work for me. I have the 2 sided one with two sizes - it may have been too big but its hard to see back there.

Just remove the valve cover, once you have it out of the car it will be easier to see and work on removing it.

Mmmk... the only problem with pulling the valve cover, is that this hose connects to the turbo. So, I have about a 3" leash on the thing. I can get it so there is room to get a tool in there, so I might try a fuel line tool...

Thanks guys!
