It won't be that loud because your turbo'd but if I were to put it on my lsj/sc it would be unbearably ridiculously loud.

OP.. 1-10 with 1 being the full stock exhaust and 10 being god awfull retarded loud. A catted dp with 3" straight pipe will probably be like a 5 or a 6 IMO. I have a full 3" turbo back straight pipe setup on my car, and from inside the car it's like a 6 but outside the car I've been told it's kinda loud.... it sounds sick though..

the side exit with a catless dp gets old REALLY fast.. It lasted for a solid 3 hours on my car before I wanted to shoot myself in the head from the obnoxious drone. Needless to say, that does not seem like what the OP is looking for.

I THINK IT IS GOING TO BE STUPID LOUD, BUT cant tell for sure because my roomate has an LSJ SC with a header, 3in catless DP, and the Hahn 3IN catback and its rediculously loud, then my car i have a 3in catless DP with the Hahn 3in catback and a different header and mine is really quiet at cruising speed but as soon as i get on it....... its pretty loud

thanks for the info guys.

i dont mind it loud when i get on it but while cruising i hate the droning sound. also i dont want it to resonate inside the car at all and buzz at certain rpms. the car has enough rattles and buzzes as it is. my friend with an 09 mustang gt did a muffler delete and around 3k it buzzes the hell out of his car.

so maybe i should go with just a single resonator then. i really want it to flow as good as possible because i hate turbo lag but i dont want it to unbearably loud.

louder than a mouse fart not not quite as loud as a whale blown up with dynamite on a beach. probably like a 6.8 on that scale.

i cant go catless unless i wanna spend bookoo money. i contacted synapse about a catless dp and they said the GT28 flange is a special one and that ill also need to source some tight radius bends & massage the piping to clear the flange for the bolts to fit.

soooo im just goin to stick with the catted one i have. its still 3" and i think its just a magnaflow high flow cat on there so shouldnt be too bad

would it really be much of a difference between catted dp/single resonator and full turboback straight pipe as far as turbo spool and power go? maybe 200 rpm difference and 5 hp?

I love the sound of my catless DP and muffler delete. It's not too loud and doesn't drone that much at all. I have an 05 Mustang GT with.

Not trying to quote myself but I don't know how to edit posts from my phone. All I was saying is my Mustang has a catless x-pipe and 3" mufflers and the Cobalt isn't as loud.

^ good to hear. does the fact that its a bigger turbo than a k04 make it quieter, louder or the same?
