How much louder is a resonator delete?
Muffler laws here in arizona are kinda picky and don't wanna buy a catless DP and going to need a tune pretty quickly if I get a datless dp. so how much louder does the car get by removing the resonator? Cops don't care much about no mufflers as long as it's not that loud with one off but some "Enforce the law" and are ********. Don't wanna spend 300+ just to change the damn muffler + resonator and make it look shiny.
Or just cut open the muffler, directly connect the pipes, patch it up and repaint it/shine it and make it look like stock/after market.

You can run a catless downpipe without a tune if you buy the correct one wont gain any power without a tune though
Ps plenty of turbo cars are rice just depends what their owners do to them checkout the stance thread in any forum
Seriously??? Retail price plus shipping to LaLa Land???

My brother had gotten a catless dp and in 2-3 months it started bogging alot so he had to get it tuned.
You can gut the stock dp and remove the crap inside the cats for a catless dp thats 50 state legal
Removing the resonator does make it sound like ****, and turbo cars can indeed be rice.
i have a zzp catted downpipe 200cel and 3inch zzp exhaust with no resonator, i do lots of highway driving and there is no noticeable drone over stock its almost too quiet unless you floor it.

Muffler laws in AZ? I've ran around with a 3 inch straightpipe on an SRT4 that was spitting all sorts of noise, flames never any grief from cops. My cobalt has catless side exit with baffled tip and sounds lovely, no probs from cops
I put a resonator delete in for the 1/2 mile. It was way loud, but did sound good with my big turbo. But I would say 1/3 to 1/2 the sound was cut with the ZZP resonator only. Huge difference.
I had my exhaust system cut off at the back of the cat -- turns out there's a 3" opening at the rear of the cat -- I had a custom bent 3" ID pipe welded to the rear of the cat (no resonator), and I have a single 3" ID x 18" long glasspack welded on in the old muffler position (we turned the muffler so that the openings faced to the rear rather than to the front -- it's supposed to be mounted with the openings facing the exhaust stream). There's a 3"ID pipe off the muffler and it's simply turned down towards the ground (which aims the sound down rather than straight back -- spreads the sound and makes it less loud. This is a lot CHEAPER than buying an exhaust system from some vendor!!!
Bottom line, it sounds great -- it sounds 'bigger' than it is! It makes as much HP as you can get out of our turbo motor! It has a muffler so if anyone were to stop you (I've never been stopped) you're legal. It even meets SCCA sound restrictions for autocross. And it looks good -- if anyone actually knows anything about HP and performance, they'll recognize what you've done -- but that's darned few people! I've had some SCCA racers at National Tour events recognize the value of the system but about no one else...
