How to remove valve cover?

For the guys that have removed their valve cover.....is it very difficult?

I just noticed that modernperformance has powdercoated valve covers....thinking about getting one. Just wanted sure how hard it is to remove and install. Any info would be great

I would assume the LNF is like any other ecotec valve cover. Undo the bolts, undo the grounding strap and use the pry tabs to your advantage with a flat head screw driver. It basically pops off

It really is. It might be a little sticky getting it off but it's pretty straight forward

The only issue is taking the breather line or whatever it is off the back. You need a special tool to do it but theres not enough room to get it back there. But theres other ways to get it off, just kinda a pain in the ass.

yeah the breather line is the hardest if you don't have the right tools

I used a pair of pliers and took mine off just fine. I don't know if the lsj is different from the LNF but the hose clamps should be the same

I already cut the hell out of that stupid line....

I installed an MPx catch can...which required to take it off. If I ever need to get another line...I'll just buy one.

Anyhow, I just wanted to make sure taking the valve cover off was pretty easy...and it sounds like it is. Also...another member told me to get ahold of "Powell" about getting a powdercoated valve cover. You guys know who "Powell" is?

You need the tool or make one to remove the line that go to the turbo, or just remove the bolt on the turbo, but you will still have the line connected on the valve cover...

Other than that its just getting stuff out of the way to remove the valve cover
