how should i heat wrap my engine bay

how should i heat wrap my engine bay

Hey i have a slightly.modded cobalt ss tc... And i give it a hard.time sometimes.... I wanted to use heat wrap for cooler engine... First of all that fuel line is too close to the manifold and valve cover.. i dnt want hot fuel..... Has anybody done it? Or whats the.best way to do this?

It's direct inject. It gets compressed to 2000+ psi, and then quickly expanded in the combustion chamber. There is a tremendous cool down effect from this, which is partially why water injection isn't as beneficial on this car. Wrapping the lines isn't going to get you anything, IMO.

Wrapping the charge piping won't help much either, especially if they are metal. I would advise leaving the stock lower plastic charge pipe.
