no idea on this dude specs, however last year i raced a GT Stang it was turbocharged, full intercooler(was fairly large from what i remember). Anyway he didnt pull too hard on me, i couldnt catch and pass, just paced each other, was from a 70k roll. Other than that, GT's r my bitch:guns: hahaha

The 2012's did a huge physical mod on the engine. Lost of weight reduction via removing/modifying certain things and reducing tons of bolts etc. Like 30lbs and it apparently increased the cooling and flow and gained 11HP over the 11's.

Alot of the Mustang and camero owners inflate their gains when they talk about them. I come from the mustang world. You have now idea how many people truly believed a K&N intake w/o a tune would net them 18whp....

Its a military guy, the cars not turboed or anything crazy unless he has some rank.

i'd say don't play with your tunes... just go balls out from the get go and ensure a win. Backstory: Basically I laughed at his car a waved at him(jokingly)like he wasn't shit. I work in the same unit(Army) with him so we started talking cars and as soon as I mentioned I drove a Cobalt TC he acted like he'd be wasting his time with me.

I told him $100 says I'd beat him. His response: $200!

HA...I straight up told him I have full bolt-ons and a tune with a tiny stock turbo. I told him I'm 339WHP and roughly 1,000lbs lighter and he's still more confident than ever. WTF!

I plan on getting some pics and I might try to get a vid as well. We plan on racing in the next few days at most. The Army is not too kind with early evenings so we're working on it as the weather here in VA is nice.

I'm going to give him any race he wants and I'm going to pick a roll from 40. LOL We ALL know these full bolt on and Trifecta tuned TC Balts are fucking ANIMALS in 3rd gear. He will get DESTROYED in that race.

there are probably going to be many more people like this in the years to come;
since GM got out of the sport compact segment, I can only assume that they were thinking that they would steer the GM-Sport compact buyers into a "baby Camaro"....

Granted the HP numbers they have are impressive... but there's just something that's not right about a pony car with anything other than a V8... well, unless it's a Mustang :lol:
