Infiniti G37-S....bye byeeeee

Last night, as we were both getting on the highway, I've badly passed in acceleration an Infinity G37-S. He started pushing me from the back, he was also flashing me, so I've pulled all the gears from 2nd to 4th and I could see it very far in my mirrors. Even if I have a big turbo kit, I was still very happy that such a car was way behind me. We both stopped at the next gas station, I asked him if he floored it and he said yes. He was amazed of how much I was ahead of him. How many of you guys were able to beat a car with a much bigger engine than ours? Please share the info, I would love to know what kind of cars we can stay in front of.

I mean accelerating side by side for half mile or one mile at the most.
When I was all stock I've beated a friend of mine with a Mazda RX-8, and when I had bolts on with tune I pulled side by side with a Subaru STI and I was a little ahead of him

I'm kidding, didn't get too many good races with the cobalt. I did take out a bolt on and tuned WS6 in the Balts early days lol

Infinit's are weaksauce from my experiences in my town.. not even a close race.. an IsF on the other hand is a different can of worms, and I've gone up against one of those as well.. pulls me off the line and thats it.. I start to catch/pull on him in 4th gear. From a roll, I can pull slightly, very slightly.

No the RX-8 was my friend's car, it was my first pull next to another car when I bought the car. I didn't really know how much power the RX-8 has. My car all stock, my friend with the RX-8......I don't even know where he was left at.

I got an IsF last year when I was still on bolts on and tuned. I didn't know exactly about the power of it. He arrived from behind fast and he had to brake for a car on the left lane, so he moved on the middle lane. I was on the right lane, I put in 3rd gear at about 3k rpms, and I pulled as he did. I remember seeing him in front of me for no more than 10 seconds. Even if I thought I had a fast car, I didn't imagine he was going to take only those few seconds on a highway to make history of me behind him. I've reached about 110 mph as he was flying in front of me.

Yes, it is a 1.3 rotative engine. If I remember correctly, it should be in the low 200hp range

Even a stock TC will walk a G37S without problem. Probably lots of fun when you have a big turbo kit

I don't think so dude. I remember having some problems with the 3.5 V6 cars when I was bolted and tuned. Some of them were really hard to pass.

Expected this much. They sound damn sexy but they're not keeping up with a modded TC. Stock it might be closer.
