So a couple days ago I read the horrible news about the future of our high performance cars. Decided to go into the dealership today and see what they could do. Well to start off the dealers didn't know **** about what they were talking about, asking if I want the standard package like the LS in my TC, told them its all power everything in TC. They tried selling me a stage 2 kit.....ROFLMFAO...ya they really asked me that. Long story short my brand new 09 SS/TC all black, inside and out, high rise, sun roof, lsd should be arriving in a few months. Already threw down a deposit for the car. Only thing is I'll be in the desert fighting this so called "war" and wont get back till late september/early october. Wont be able to really break the car in and open it up since the snow will be falling by then. But I'm super excited to get my car. Buddy of mine has an all black with low rise, and only one other person in town has black with high rise. So I'll make the 3rd SS/TC in fairbanks area. Plus I'll be making that super money in the desert which I so plan on droppin in my car when I get back. I still plan on keeping my LS for the cold winter months, does good. I cant wait to get behind that wheel.

ya that deployment money is going to be alot of mods for sure. But I've got enough money saved to almost pay half the car off. But I like to keep it stuffed under my matress since this recession started lol

yea way to beat then before they totally quit making them. only problem is that the ss/tc is direct injection so your going to be pretty limited to just bolt on parts until someone figures out how to tune around them fully.

How did you do that? According to other posts on here they haven't made any since Dec. and according to my dealer there is a hold on cars with the RPD. I ordered Jan.25 and still have not received a build date.

placed the order the day this post was create. How did I do it...walked in there dropped some money and told them to order me one. Told them what I wanted and everything. I'm having my parents pick it up since I'll be in afghanistan when it gets in. And I dont know why you're dealer told you this. Because they aren't going to make future SS/TC but they are finishing the ones they have in production already.

glad you got yours man i still havent seen the person who bought the high rise one hear in fairbanks but when you get back your gunna love the car man now your the 3rd one in the town with one

Seeing as you're from Alaska the winters should do the same number on yours when it comes to salt, I didn't know the car had two-tone paint, half white half black . As for the break-in taking delivery in the winter kinda sucks...I've had to be super careful with the ice as of late, and of course every time I've given it some extra go a phantom patch of ice seemed to be clear in the middle of the road!!
