I have heard a sound difference in the BPV & in the turbo spooling up. I think it was worth the $51.88 that I spent on it. Now, if it's better for performance, I can't say I felt anything, but who knows!

I noticed zero difference in sound no increase or decrease in boost even when I first installed it. No HP gain on the dyno either. Not worth the $50 IMHO. Spend your money on something else.

Doesn't the SS use close to the same style filter as a base model?

Mine got a little bit louder but not crazy. I only get the K&N's because I usually get them for around $30.
