Launch control?
You better break it in for 500 miles before you start floggin' it.
Launch control is a showy gimmick. It holds the RPM around 5 k when you floor it and release the clutch fast, but don't dump the clutch. Better launches can be had around 2500 RPM. Using the launch control will result in excessive spin and wheel hop on the stock Continentals.

It seems intermittent for me. Sometimes it's worked as advertised, other times light 'em up, other times bog down. Decision to go LC or manual depends on how much of an "obvious factor" I'm comfortable with.
Put the car in comp mode, it will say "Launch Control"....then you floor it...rpm will hold at around 5100 rpm and then you let out the clutch and off you go.
It is pretty lousy in general and a DISASTER at the track....feels like the car is going to explode due to the wheel hop....a manual launch works far better...bring it to around 3500 and then let out the clutch quickly but not dumping it....that yields the best results in my experience.
But I would be curious to see somebody use LC with a set of slicks at the track....would be interesting.

Launch control allows u to floor the gas and it holds it at 5,500 RPMs and "controls" wheel spin.
As someone who learned how to drive their first stick on their 09 SS/TC.... i can tell you.. Launch control sux ass.
Put it between 2200-2500 , launch it without flooring it right away and then your goods if you can hit 2nd nicely and NLS ( No Lift Shift) to 3rd and then 4th gear if need be.
Hit your NLS(s) at about 5,900 or else you risk doin some damage.
I have been trying to hit my NLS at 6,000, ******* a few of em up and hear a grindin that normally doesn't happen.
Tweaking with it and I found that 5800 is about the perfect time for most peeps to start their NLS
just have your boost gauge up on your RPD ( if you have it) and take note of weather or not ur loosing or keeping boost to tell if you performed a NLS ( plus the distint popping noise from exhaust)
dude... search the forums for "Launch control".. there have been 3129483904823904 threads on this.
