only one that gives me problems is 4-5th. It just seems way over there and I miss it about 1/2 the time so I quit trying. 1-2nd NLS seem too rough so I stay away from that. I swore I broke it the first NLS I did. I've never heard a car sound like that. That and make sure the car is totally warm 1st too, I let my friend drive try the NLS once and I got the crazy flashing CEL because the temp was like 10 degrees less than perfect. That's high on my list of "do not repeat".
I have understood from websites, and other sources that using the NLS for the 1-2 shift is quite possibly the cause of transmission issues...
I'm not saying "this is what it is", but I am saying this is what I've understood, and something the OP might want to keep under consideration.
