launch control

i have noticed whether my launch control is on or not my ss only revs to 4500rpm when stopped does anyone know if this is part of a tune or if maybe there is something more wrong i need thoughs

its a revlimiter set from the dealer so you don't blow your tranny lol. My gti was just like this too. If you're rolling tho and you're in neutral try it. It will rev higher than 4.5. If' you're stopped and in neutral it will do as you stated above.

the factory launch control can not be adjusted unless you have trifecta tuning
its set to about 4500 from the factory not the dealer, if launch control is not engaged you should be able to free rev in 1st gear

yea like i said even when launch control is off it still only revs to 4500 when stopped but its not a problem the car runs like a raped ape i love it but just wondering if anyone had this happen

Mine is the same way. Ive never revved it in neutral before, but the other day when I did I noticed i couldnt go above 4500

i get what you mean im not tryin to blow my engine just after trying launch control i wanted to know if it was different with launch off its not like every time i get in my car i stomp the gas to the floor just to rev it. just some thing i noticed and was curious about now i know im not the only one thanks
