lnf wot shift problem

hey guys , every time I use nls into another gear , the engine makes a weird noise and feels like its sputtering or misfiring, has been doing it for a while now, if I don't use nls ,the engines fine and keeps pulling , I do let my car warm up for a few mins before ripping on it, mods are a minimal , a catless dp and injen charge pipes with no leaks , car does have a rough idle when warm , ive tried new plugs and the same , running on 94 octane , im stumped on this issue , has anyone heard of an issue like this?

yes, everyone that has ever used nls. It's normal. If it bothers you don't nls. Your transmission will thank you for it.

nls should only pop once, shift quickly, but not quicker then you have to

Think I was unclear guys, when shifting to another gear using nls, even shifting fast or letting it pop , or even when I'm already off the clutch in another gear, the engine still sputters/ misfires, if I let off the gas and get back on it its fine, I never drive with traction on , its always on launch control lol

I think I am having the exact same problem. It's not the rev limiter. You NLS and the engine almost sounds, as silly as this descriptions is, a kid blowing rasberries. If you let off and then get right back on the gas everything appears to be fine. I noticed this after I got my Trifecta tune, but I also did a number of mods at the same time, so I don't know the exact problem.

I have randomly had this happen a few times on 3-4 nls
Make sure your not too early or too late on the shift
I usually go for the clutch right at 6k or about 200 rpm before redline
One more thing everytime I have tried to nls with the ac on it has fallen flat on its face dunno why

If you don't NLS correctly it will do this, you have to be spot on with the shifts.

I'll have to take and post a video of this. I've knocked off quite a lot of NLS shifts without problems and a handful of times I did screw it up and hit the rev limiter or miss the shift, so I am aware of what that sounds like. This is something different and only started happening after I installed some bolt-ons and my tune.

How much u let ur car warm up? The oil needs to be at least around 160 before u should even get on it hard, let alone nls, if ur nlsing before its that warm , that may be ur issue. Make sure ur doing it quick enough. And no u don't have to be in competitive mode to do it. U can be in any mode. Most likely issue is ur car probably isn't warm enough or u lost ur touch and are doing it wrong

The car was definitely warm. I would never conceive of revving my car high before the oil temp is up, unless there's an emergency. I have to make and post a video. I am fairly certain the OP is experiencing the same thing I am.

So much for taking a video of this. Went to NLS 2nd to 3rd and snapped the cable linkage clamp instead...
