I got a used pcm and its installed in my cobalt , Its running but its gives me an x7f negative response error when trying to read the pcm with hp tuners . Can i get the dealer to flash it back to stock with a tech 2 and be able to use hp tuners ?

 

Sounds like trifecta . I think dealer can flash it

 

Ill find out tomorrow , I gotta get the technician to flash the whole operating system cause if he just writes calibration it wont be unlocked. The weird thing is when i logged my car with this pcm , it has stock timing and boost, the only thing i can tell is the tune is setup for gms1 map sensors.

 

make sure they flash it with gms1 tune if that's the case.

Did you try pressing the cruise control button to see if its a switchable tune?

 

Well dealership charged me 180$ for nothing . I told them to flash the operating system and that a calibration flash wont fix it but i guess they didnt listen. They are horrible wouldnt even let me talk to the tech that flashed it ::/

 

Ive flashed with sps before and theres no option to do one or the other. Pretty sure it does the whole thing all in one go.

 

So I guess i need a new pcm cause it keeps giving x7f error everytime i try to read it .
