Looking for cheap but nice

Apparently my mom gets like 30-50% off an automotive store through her work that she forgot to tell me till now about lol and so they said they have lots of parts and I don't know what I should order but I have a general idea of what I'd like...

Coilovers and exhaust

what type of parts should I ask for them to order?

I have an 09 SS/TC bone stock

coilovers are pretty cool but I know alot of guys that just dont recommend them if this is your daily driver....seems b&g springs and the h&r are the best drop and still have a decent ride...as for exhaust you just arent gonna make a turbo car loud...not like a non turbo...if thats what youre going for then just straight pipe it...if youre looking for performance the stock one really isnt bad but you can go with a bigger cat downpipe and maybe a magnaflow system...flowmasters are not reccommended for turbo cars

This will be my daily driver, so I shouldn't go with coilovers? and straight pipes are illegal from what I know! what about Borla?

Id start with a catless downpipe and your stock exhaust. see how that sounds/feels to ya. coils are nice but if you are looking for cheap and just want a decent drop..just do some springs.

also its kinda pointless to redo your exhaust if youre not making any engine tweaks...the stock exhaust is set up for the stock engine....go get yourself a GM performance stage 1 kit....easy to put on yourself and just go to the dealer when ur done for the new program....then you can choose the best exhaust for the new numbers you'll be puttin out

the eibach kit will only lower you 1 inch...not really even noticeable....mines on H&R's....only spent 240 shipped and installed myself with a spring compressor from autozone that they basically let you borrow for free...eibachs are expensive if youre calling les schwab, they are a rip off....coilovers are about 1000 and up

Well the only reason why I was doing this was cause of the discount, isn't the GM performance kit like 600-700$?

I beg to differ, the Pro Kit doesn't lower that much but the Sportlines (which i have) are def noticable

gm stage 1 is 650 from the dealer but they will go down on price to about 550 if you tell them you can get it cheaper online...i got mine on ebay for 400 and paid 100 for the new program...the best part is that this kit will not effect the cars warranty

Being that you are Canadian too, you could save some money and get CM springs. They a they are pretty much the same as sportline's drop. Quite a bit cheaper too because you won't have to pay duty tax- they come from Canada. TommyP had a really good side shot of his Balt on CM springs (before he sold it).

You could do a 3" turbo back straight pipe. it will be loud though. You could also just do a Catless DP with a catback with muffler.

I have CM, they're great for the price. 180 shipped and you get performance and a nice drop. You really can't argue with that. Just get springs and the GMS1 and an intake. you're good to go.

Yeah correct. That pic of SSC in the lowering springs pic thread is wrong though. CM doesn't sag in the back like that. Also comes with a lifetime 'no sag' guarantee from the manufacturer.

How do you like them compared to your sportlines? Or are they roughly the same?
