lsj lnf same engine???

the lsj and the lnf is the same engine correct??? dont they just have differnt boost methods if their not whats the diff

thats what i thought i just wanted to be sure some guy with a redline is trying to argue with some guy saying that they are diff engines and have diff displacement its kinda funny

There are quite a few differences.

But they are the same displacement.

I am pretty sure I read in a GM book of some sort that the LNF had different rods. At least the casting was different.

Things the LNF has that the LSJ doesn't...

LNF = Direct Injection (as in the Fuel injector sprays directly into the combustion chamber)

LNF = VVT

LNF = Lower Compression (possibly Forged) Pistons

The block, crank, and rods might be the same... that'd be the only major/minor components that are the same.

no. Both displace the same, however the LNF has direct injection and variable valve timing (i know thats the head but still)

Looks like the Block is actually different. The LNF has the GenII Ecotec Block... or some **** like that.

crank is the same, rod bearings are different material, **** Ijust had that up on my computer too head is almost the same casting, but direct injection, domed pistons, and of course the VVT...
