Maximum Boost that the GMS1 will make?

hey everyone. I just wanted to know for those of you who have or have had the GMS1 tune......what is the max boost you have made in PSI. im making 21 - 22 I think but I saw a picture of a guy who claimed he made 23.5PSI(he even showed a picture of his boostg auge at 23.5psi)

Does altitude really make that much of a difference. I thought the higher the altitude the less air there was and therefore less boost for a turbo........am i wrong?

I know that they say not to boost passed 25PSI on stock internals but if I could make 23.5 PSI with a GMS1 then I would be more than happy.

Lets hear yours!

altitude really does make a difference. But I'll make around 22.5 normally. I've spiked 24 before.

Normal

It'll boost to whichever PSI needed to make the rated power.

Same here - I go a tick past 20 psi in most circumstances, but I have seen it surge to 23-24 on a particularly good romp. It'll hold there for a couple seconds, then drift back down. Not that I'm complainin'.....

Formula Pv= nrt

The hotter the air is outside the more air (psi) it will need compared to cooler (denser) air. Altitudes make a difference too. Just a basic summary.

holds between 21-22 psi. if you floor the pedal in 4th gear while coasting she'll spike to 24 psi. NOT a smart idea to do all the time.

Anything over 23 (HOLDING) and you're asking for trouble...I don't care what the ambient temperature is.

Move to a higher altitude. Like I said before, GMS1 boosts to whichever PSI is needed to make the rated 280hp/320tq. The less you're boosting, the better in reality.

If you want to boost more and make more power you have to go with an aftermarket tune.

This ^^^

GMS 1 Sets a air load number in the calibration and doesn't care if it takes 25 psi ... or 15 psi to hit that number. The only "tweak" that will help make more boost is a tune . More boost isn't always the answer ...... theres better tunes making more power on 20 psi than GMstg1 is making at 22-23.
