ok guys heres the deal
after my test drive today in the SS

Things i liked

The car was fast

Handle real sweet

Very nice over bumps for a sports car

Engine just pulled very smooth felt faster then my brothers 07 red line his is a automatic

Things i did nt like

Clutch was weird from a start like would not grap until 3/4 way out

Not sure on the radio did nt have time to adjust or play cd thought my chrysler 95 radio was better

If the wheel was turned just a little in 1st you had to watch the tq steer happed way to offen

When i would back up or shift sometimes the drivetran seem to clunk also on some downshifts thought i keep hearing a whineing noise under the car from the drive tran
No lock for fuel gate

Ex styling was little bland but the wheels seem to help same goes with the inside little cost cutting for sure.

Ok heres come the part where you guys are going to think i smoke CRACK LOL

Arrived at dealership salesgirl was busy some other guy took me on test drive.

Mention gms supp lier discount and rebate big boss said not on ss model. cool still went for test drive

Before test drive sat down with sales girl she showed me paper for rebates said exudes ss ok what ever

Price was like 24,400 and something gms price came too 23,301.75 car was black on black with lsd and sun roof.

Ok did a little talking and then said i would let her know started to leave she said hold on went to see sales mgt.

Came back said the mgt ran the vin # rebate works so now the price is

23,301
- 1,000 rebate
- 500 bonus
$21,801.75 plus tax now i have not bought a new car in over ten years my last new one was a 86 mazda b2000 for $6995.00 but those days are gone. lol


So i was not about to spend 20 grand in like 30 mins i must be cheap. lol

So i told her let me sleep on it and maybe by mon or tues

Here comes the crazy part another girl comes out and says well if you want why don t you take the car for the weekend and bring back monday took little while not sure wanted to be resposible for the car but i thought about it a little more and off to the gas station with the sales girl

Half tank of reg i ask her if this car needs prem she was not sure droped her off and drove away

Stopped at another gas station filled the rest with high test

Anyways drove the car to my house and in the back roads little i took the car back after about 2 hours don t ask me why but i was still not really sure on the purchase so i did not want to put alot of miles om maybe somebody else puchase.

Thats it in a nutshell you guys are very fast on your replys this must be a cool site for sure.

I left it telling her maybe i willl call back mon or tues but as of now not sure so did not want to just go joy riding.

edit wait. ok you say in the first line g8 but then in the middle it sounds like you are talking about an ss/tc and this is the the ss/tc section.... im so confused

I'd take the G8 over the SS anyday, and would probably take one over the camaro.

It is supposed to be 'this is an automatic' referring to the G8

 

i'm confused as well. wish i got to keep my SS S/C for the weekend before i bought it! that way the clutch would've blown before i actually owned it lol
