turn the boost down for starters

 

yup, turn the boost down to 22-23 psi and get meth injection. I think BYT did meth injection and he picked up a lot of power. pm him.

 

it spikes 25 but holds 22 to 23

 

I ran the quarter in 12.8 at 115MPH with my stock Cobra only a K&N filter and some drag radials back in '04. From a dig, you'll get behind really fast by about 3 cars, then you'll start staying even when you hit 35 MPH. If you start from a 40-roll, you might just stay pretty even.

 

im hoping to start from a 40 roll and i plan to brake boost as well

How much power is this Cobra laying down? I lost by about a car at a 40 roll AND a 20 roll to a cobra laying 500hp to the wheels.

 

Who cares i say do it, those cars are wicked fast.If he duz beat you, it wont be my much and make the guy feel stoopid cuz he almost lost to a cobalt.There is no better feeling than that imo.

 

went down how i thought it would but was fun all he has done is a pully and no tune i have raced a non supercharged cobra and beat him but wish we had a longer road to run on but we didn't so oh well

Supercharged Cobra?? That must put down around 500HP+..you wouldn't stand a chance.

Mine stock except K&N filter was 392HP at the wheels. I don't remember torque, but it was high.

With a pulley, he should be around 450wHP. He smoke you pretty bad, but you gave it a shot. Good driving for both of you.

And no, 03 Cobras did not have 500. lol They have 390chp. And yes, that is the supercharged one. As far as the specs and stuff you put on there, that's an upgrade kit for the already boosted 4.6L. Upgraded pulley, tuner, injectors and plugs. Yeah, that's the upgrade kit to get 550+rwhp, if tuned correctly. But he said in here, the guy is untuned with an intake and pulley. I'd say he is putting 390-420rwhp down, depending on the pulley he's running and how much boost it's getting. Just my guesstimation.

yeah then it didnt have 500 to the wheels bc as you can see, this cobra walked the tc pretty hard once they got going and the tc has some mods and a tune.

thats possible that this cobra was lying, but if the guy i quoted only lost to a 500rwhp cobra by a car, he would need a turbo swap in his ss/tc to only lose by a car. theres no way a ss/tc making only 301whp and 375 wtrq (quoted from his sig) p is going to even remotely keep up with a 500whp cobra. not happening.

 

from a roll i could see it, you figure the example i posted dude is barley running 10's with 620 hp, take away 120 hp, and add in the fact that it was from a roll and not a dig where the cobalt obviously would have the advantage and i could believe it, maybe 2 cars not only 1 lol...and who knows, cobra could've started sideways and he got out and back in **** like that. i wouldn't really say it's impossible though.

 

ok, im not trying to start a war here, but im just asking how you got to that conclusion. how do you think a cobalt could make up for a 200whp difference? the 600lb difference in weight will not be enough to overcome that, plus once youre moving the weight difference doesnt mean much. that just seems a bit off bc 200whp is a HUGE difference.

 

That cobra was atleast 450whp the way it walked away from you.
