muffler delete

i have spent hours on here looking at posts and watching videos about deleting my muffler on my tc sedan.
the thing i cant seem to find out is how loud is it really from inside the car? i am gonna have a newborn in a few months and was thinking of doing a muffler delete but cant find out if its gonna be too loud or not. whats your opinions?

tc's aren't very loud with the muffler delete cause you'll still have 2 cats and a resonator. now if you go catless it starts to get a little loud. you'll be fine with just the delete though.

then again this is coming from someone with an LSJ lol.

I say don't do it. Muffler delete = lots of drone. I would rather get a catless downpipe and leave the resonator and muffler in. I will growl but not too loud.

speaking from my personal experience and from my better half, she hated when i took the muffler off. let me tell you it will be a lot louder than stock! reminded me of when i had my srt4 with exhaust on it. u will def wake the neighbors in the morning!

I loved the sound of my muffler delete until I drove on a long highway trip. It drones pretty good. Sounds great at low speeds.

about 2800-3200 rpm its pretty loud with a catless downpipe. I wouldnt say its raspy but it doesnt sound deep inside the car. I havent heard it from outside so I couldnt tell you. It basically sounds like a stock srt around town but as soon as you pulled a hill its loud

I had mine off for a little while, loved the sound. Pretty much the same sound as my NSRT4 was.

I've said it in other threads and I'll say it again, muffler deletes are rice imo.

Louder =/= better sounding.

hey sometimes weird noises put babies to sleep. I say do it, it is loud for the first 30 sec from a cold start, otherwise its not loud inside the car.

^^This. It drones when going fast on the highway. Around town it sounds good.
I just drown out the drone sound by playing loud music, lol.

I've got a catless downpipe, can't imagine not having a muffler, it would just be obnoxious.

how much can you expect to pay a shop to do a muffler delete keeping the stock tip? or perhaps even a new tip?
