My K&N SRI Review, Other Reviews Welcomed!
I recently installed my K&N SRI and so far have roughly 300kms on it so still relatively new. I haven't had any issues thus far, sounds great and the blow off sound will put a smile on anybodys face. The car still idles at its normal RPM and Fuel mileage is basically unchanged IMO. I've got the GMS1 and the most i've peaked was 22 PSI and held at 20 with the stock airbox. So far with the K&N, I managed to reach 21 PSI and held at 20. The majority of the time, I've been reaching 20 and either holding strong at 20 or 19. The inlet air temperature remains unchanged, I still get roughly the same as with the airbox. The car still pulls strong and I noticed better throttle response. All in all, I'm very happy with the intake and will see how it holds up in the long run. I'm interested in seeing how everyone else is doing with theirs so feel free to post your review on it.
Note: I had the K&N Drop-in before.

You noticed anything different with your boost? I know the turbo spools quicker, it seems to reach 20 and hold steady. Just wondering why I can't peak as high as with the airbox. I know I don't have a boost leak because they'd be no way I could boost that high and stay. I will check my coupler and clamps anyways though, I usually check it everyday to make sure everything is still solid and nothing is rubbing. I was messing around up street and was going by a car and let the intake blow off and the girl called me an *******.

You ever look at the spark screen on your rpd? Mine was knocking with the k&n drop in installed. Took it out and put the stock filter in and its gone away for the most part, save a couple degrees here and there.

I haven't look at it but I noticed some sputtering with it in the lower RPMs when not at little to no fuel in 2nd. I disconnected the negative batter cable and waited 15 mins then put it back on and it was fine. I never reset the ECU (or whatever) back to Zero when I first put it in so I assume that was the cause but not 100%. I don't have a Dash Hawk so I was unable to get a read. To be honest, I don't fully understand that spark advance gauge so I wouldn't be able to give you a good feedback on that buddy.

On the spark screen it will have a 0 * and then say retard under or beside it I cant remember. Ignore the gauge sweeping just look for that number. You reset your fuel trims when you disconnected the battery. Give it a day or two and you will feel that same sputtering im betting, when you do check to see if that number is above zero at WOT. 1-3 is normal usually.

Not a problem, I'd wanna know everything too if I was gonna spend the money and buy the intake. I've read a ton of things on here about it and haven't heard anything bad about it so that says a lot. And the fact that K&N gives you a card to keep in your vehicle saying that if you are denied a warranty based repaired because of the intake, they will handle it. I actually spoke with a K&N rep the other day and he comfirmed that it does not need a tune and if the Dealer has a problem to have them call the number on the card and they will sort things out. One of the things that really sold me was the fuel trims, it was close to stock and the best on the market so that made it a winner IMO . As long as they do not go out of whack, I'm happy.

I have the K&N as well and I love it. It looks and sounds great and the install was a dream. Well worth the money! By far one of the best pieces I have ever installed on a car in the last 10 years.

Knock happens a lot more on dynos. even in Cali where the 91 octane gas is a bad as premium gets I have not seen any knock on the stock GM tune. Never logged a stock stage 1 tune on 91 octane but mine did not knock at all stock on 93 octane except on the dyno. The more important thing is does it knock when you have the tune on?

I did some driving around town and around the highway this morning and watched my knock. It remained at Zero for basically the whole trip, the odd time it went to 1 but other than that, it just stayed at zero.

hmmm knowing it comes with a card that doesn't void the warranty im very tempted to get this now... wonder if they worked in conjunction with GM to test this and ensure GM was happy that it worked well with the car?
someone post a vid of how it sounds with the intake now! how much did it set ya back?

I got it for under 400 shipped (Duties and everything), can't remember exactly. I can get a vid once the girlfriend gets home so she can hold the camera. The sound will put a smile on your face for sure, even when normal shifting at below 3000Rpm, you can still hear it letting out a pssst. Driveability is better than the K&N Drop-in, IMO.

I always let off of my gas when Im about to pass some unsuspecting people on the street to see if they look.... they always do
Actually this past weekend I was headed to dinner with my cousin and her husband. We all went in my car. We passed a vr6 passat with an exhaust and black painted stock rims, as I passed him I let off the gas and him and everyone in his car stared at my car while the party in my car stared back at them
