Not the greatest quality but I have had people on the forums directly ask me or just PM me for some pictures. Its a quick vid around the car, DashDaq, AutoliteXP spark plugs (that I gapped .035) also just car running with the backfire which are now gone thanks to the new XP's. I haven't put it in as of yet, that is why I'm going to be showing tomorrow exactly what you get. BaldturboFreak polished the exhaust side pretty damn good to prevent that. I'll show you guys. I forgot to show the Meth Kit I had in the back seat with my Blitz Turbo Timer.

 

good call i just ordered a snow performance kit for my SS/TC.... weird it seems like we are going in same direction with car because I wanted the K04+ but compression problems was the issue

i also have iridiums but they are gapped at .030

 

The surge problem is with those who run a stock exhaust...

 

The video is crappy quality but I like the look of your tails.. where'd u get em from?

 

How is that gap working out for you? I was thinking about .029 but I just ended up wanting to be safe. Where are you tapping in for the Meth kit?

For the surge Baldturbofreak also ported the hell outa my Exhaust side to smoothin out the air exiting the turbine, that with the 3" should help.

and i am probably going to tap the meth near the coupler so it does not have far to travel... unless my buddy who is smart as **** and knows his **** (witt) has a better place for it i will tap it where he says

the .030 is working fine i havent seen any misfires on my aeroforce gauge as of yet and i had them in for a good 2 weeks

Yea from Karo. Just readying for the future(Compound setup) and other things. which coupler are you talking about? Near the throttle body?

I'm going to try .030 then cause I still get a backfire here and there, but better than the stock AC Delco's that were in there.

Do you mind me asking how you'll go about that? I have to do eveything myself here in Hawaii cause seems like everyone and there mother prefer Honda( to one his own) and so the shops here only know Honda.


Hell, I asked a guy at a shop about a Meth Kit and he said " bradah, I don't get into dat drug ****" haha I just cracked up. But yea, so are you installing some sort of fitting and connecting meth to that? just curious.

 

Nice vid... especially love the DashDAQ... I still can't believe how close our cars are... we even have the same tails....

Btw... I am considering my next upgrade.... I was thinking of doing a clutch/turbo swap, but I would like to know how the K04+ is working out (did you need a reflash on your tune?, how much did it cost?, install?, etc..)... otherwise I will probably wait until some of the fueling issues are worked out...

So is the SS/TC on youtube doing some launches you? Its sport red tint with those LED tails. Although I think they have dark rims.

By the way everyone, that cobalt theme you see is Thanks to Nakaiya21. She helped me set up my DashDaq and I couldn't be happier with it.

The K04+ was $800. I had the exhaust ported out as well for smooth airflow going to the exhaust. I have the Spec 3+ and that thing is solid and almost stock feeling.


The K04+ will be put in with my Trifecta tune to see how that runs. After I will be tuning to take the most advantage of the K04+ w/ Vince from Trifecta. I will be getting a Tune update in about a week or so from him. Hopefully I can push 26lbs!!!!

 

Yep, that was me... Let me know how the K04+ and tune works out for you (dyno numbers if you can)... it might be a great way for me to transition up while waiting for the fuel issues to resolve....

I may even try doing it with the stock clutch just to see what happens...

Btw.. I will be working on updating the DashDAQ theme this week/weekend... if you have any ideas of a screen you would like, let me know... I will send the update when I have v2.0 ready...

 

Awesome, I would like to see a splash screen when I boot up the dashdaq. Where the "hp" is on the gauge, can that be moved up above the needle while now in its spot having TRQ being put in its place? I would like to have my HP and TRQ in a Gauge and digital readout. That's pretty much it as I'm really happy with it. Thank you once again.

Like Subaru's? On the top center of the dash? My friend has 3 gauges there. Although, now that I think about it, you would have to modify the dash to route cables, eeeesh. OTT performance has that dual bezel for your dash area, where your gauges are at. Try that.

 

K... splash screens are a do-it-yourself thing... All you do is take a picture and re-size it to the dimensions given in you DD manual... then save it in the format specified (see manual) and upload it... if you have have any problems then send me a pic and i will resize it and get it in the proper format for you. Also, download GIMP (it is free). This will allow you to 'modify' your pic with logos and whatnot for your splash screen. The program will be a little daunting at first, but given a little time you will get the hand of it.

As for the gauge, let me see what I can do... I might be able to send a mock up to you before hand (it will take me a few days to get one made though). In the mean time download the gauge creator (?-not sure the exact file name) from the DD website so that you can look at mock ups that I send your way...

I have the KO4+ turbo, and mandrelbentexhaust.com's 3" stainless steel exhaust. I'm also running Synapse Turbo's 3" catless downpipe. With that said, and running synapse's intercooler and piping, along with dejon's intake and AEM filter, i still have compressor surge if i try to run full boost prior to 4K. i can get somewhere around 16-17 PSI below 4K.

 

So what can you do then to correct this? Is your exhaust side polished clean?
