Need new front pads for an '09 SS/TC

I've been looking at brake pads available on this site:

Auto Parts Warehouse

The pads I'm interested in are the EBC Green Stuff 2000s. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
I need some cheap pads. I don't ever go to a track. My Cobalt gets a good 60+ miles on it per day!
I'm wondering if any of you guys can vouch for these pads or any other affordable ones...?

Please let me know!

I hear factory brakes are the best for track and street. I recently got the Hawk hps I can say it is the same, with less dust and no squeeks. I went to the track with my stock oem pads and they were great. I will go to the track in november and I hope these pads will do fine as well. I think they will no reason not to.

EBC is awful on performance cars. Belongs no where near this car.

Hawk HPS are not trackable pads. Hawk will happily tell you that HPS and HP+ are not track pads.

why will they tell you itis not a track pad on the hp+ when in the details it clearly states, not for street use only track... lol

to each their own, I went to the canyons and my hps brakes are holding up fine... If the stock pads didnt make so much dust and noise I'd get another set of those. These are cheaper and they're doing what they're supposed to do. Never heard any bad reviews from anyone about hawk hps pads. some ppl just say they're not track use but nothing ever actually BAD about them.

HP+ is suitable for autox and lightweight cars like Miatas. They don't stand a chance on anything over 3000lbs with as much HP as we have. One of my students put HP+ on his STI for VIR. Ruined the pads and rotors before the end of the event. Gee, I'm shocked.

Anyways, do whatever you want. I've only been going to the track for 13 years now.

Why are you guys discussing which pads work the best for the track? As I mentioned earlier, I DON'T ever go to tracks. I use my car mostly for work. I just need some cheap pads that won't mess up my rotors.
I'm guessing the Hawk HPS would be you guy's suggestion?

They won't. Just like what is said in every brake thread on this site, HPS pads are garbage and should never be on a track. Fine for the street. My stock Ferodos were great at Beaverun (a track that is tough on pads) for 15 minute sessions, within 6 laps at Nelson's Ledges (a track that is easy on pads) I had NO brakes with the HPS'.

Really? Every single last brake thread on this site has anyone with knowledge warning people not to expect this pad to last on track. I knew better, bought them anyway, and regretted it ever since. They are not suitable for heavy use. Fine for the street, have been fine for autocross IMO as well, that's it.

I believe you guys, I just had to do it for myself cause they seemed better than the duramax C at autozone. I just didnt have the cash at the time to purchase the stock ferodo hp1000 for like 600.I had them at the track the last time i was there and it was awesome.I wanted to get something that was closest to stock with less noise and dust. That was my main reason cause i dont track often, maybe 3-4 times a year. i have the hawk hps pads and they're working great for street use for me right now. I'll update my opinion when i track it lol

I'm not referring to you. HPS is fine for the street.
