I feel ya.....for me the main reason I bought my ss was for the gas mileage and good passing power. When I got her in 2010. In had no idea what the lnf was capable of. Wasn't planning to mod it or even did a street race. In my previous car ******* drivers tried to **** me over while I passed them . Idk why. I tried to passed a sc400 driving slow in the left lane as I passed he stayed next to me until I ran up to a semi . Then blocked me. **** like that happened more than once. So I try to know what a car have so if I need to pass ...go around....before they show if they a dick or not I know how to approach it...or if they are a dick in a fast car just back off....ie a dick in a c6 z06. I had people ride my. Bumper because I pass them. It's ******* crazy out here

the f40 and jag xj220 will still outrun damn near anything straight line too. cars dont really get better with age. parts of it do but theyre not fun to drive anymore. too much electronics.

Maybe alittle bit.. But why is it car and driver's test saw a 2600 lb curb weight..? The IRL is and allways has been lighter.

The f40 and xj both have almost the same stats of 3.7 0-60 7.8 0-100 and 1/4 11.7. There's a few cars out there that are quite a bit faster now.

Some people care about being faster than others. There isn't a car that does it all for the price range your looking at so this is why people either go for comfort or performance. To find a car that really has performance, class, comfort, and reliability you have to man up and go at least 60k on a car. The mazdaspeed 3 wasn't really the best at anything, the ss was faster, the gti was a lot nicer, and the wrx was more practical. It had the best blend of everything I guess you could say but still a cheap plastic econobox like the others. I don't know anything about the Abarth so I can't comment on it other than It looks cool but is tiny.

There are faster cars but it doesn't mean they are fun to drive. Most gtr reviews complain about how everything is computer controlled. Sure makes impressive numbers but a retarded monkey could get similar numbers as a pro driver.

Ya people care too much about what others think... I got a ride in a abarth 500 and WOW loved the @#$#@$ out of it. Sounds so much better than an lnf. Almost thinking of dumping my car, but you know I can't otherwise I could have a v6 solara or accord beat me and I don't want to cry at night about it

Ford is doing a Nation wide tour to debut the new Focus ST. Theyre offering a free performance driving course.

I just signed up for July 21st, theyre coming to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. I figured it might be a pretty good comparison to the SS/TC. 2.0L ECOBOOST making 252hp/270hp, with the benefit of a 6spd which I wish our cars had.

Heres the info if anyones interested... can't beat thrashing on a new car for free!

Ford Driving Academy- 252HP Ford Focus ST- July 21st 2012- Gillette Stadium
Anybody else going to this at Dodger stadium today???

Just did the training course laps... Won't be able to push it till I get to the Tim attack side... They won't let you go past 2nd which tops at 60 but the course not made for that speed

Yeah, I just got back from there today. Glad I went to the earliest time available since it was freakin' hot out there!

It's a nice car, love the interior, nice Recaros too. Stock for stock tho, the Cobalt handles better and has waay more torque down low where it's needed and felt. The Cobalt's still a very good bang for the buck considering it's a few years old now. The LNF 2.0 lives on in some newer platforms from Cadillac & Buick, yay! But not Chevrolet, wtf?

I think the price point of around 25k will help sell this vehicle. I'm still gonna keep my old '09 SS...

$25k is baseline MSRP. Dealers will mark them up. Any options (worth having) boost it closer to $30k, and fully loaded/all options is $32k... Lil steep for the segment targeted

Does anyone know yet if they're going to release the Focus ST RS in the USA anytime in the future?

Make sure you factor in those #'s being crank and probably not wheel. So 12-15% loss in a manual.

I'm heard the possibility of a new SRT4 Dodge Dart that's AWD. That would be a car I'd buy.

I highly doubt awd. They are making a rally cross dart awd, but that has 600hp as well.

Oh and the caddy with the 2.0 starts at 36k so have fun paying that off....

Top gear likes it

Ford Focus ST driven full road test car review - BBC Top Gear - BBC Top Gear

the new Focus ST is astonishing. Sublime. Minty-fresh magnificent. It's the sort of car you can drive 20 hours a day for a week (really), and still want to jump back into for a thrash around the block.
