No Lift Shift

Yes i know this is probably a really stupid question. I have never really used the no lift shift feature on my car. Can i only turn it on when im stopped, or can i turn it on as im driving?

You can "perform" a NLS whenever you want.

Which seems to be all over the place with the tachs being seemingly inaccurate. I have to be at damned near 7k RPM on mine for it to work, but with GMS1 my redline should be 6500.

lol yeah my rev limiter is still at 6250 and ill be damned if i didnt hit the rev limiter while the tach showed 5900-6k lol. I really should have that limiter raised a little now that im tuned.

I think he meant, does he need to put it in competitive mode to NLS. That would seem to be the reason he asked if it needed to be stopped. You guys are rough man!

Hell i still NLS while tuned on a Exedy Hyper single even though people advise against it. Albeit i amd willing and able to pay for a tranny rebuild. Ill probably build the tranny in the next couple months anyways when the turbo upgrade is ready to be installed.

I know that feeling, was going to 2nd->3rd NLS, waiting for the revs to get to where they normally "need to be" and next thing I'm gurgling and popping like a complete moron "Yep, I drive stick all the time, I completely know what I'm doing" god damn embarassing .

Mine isnt really that bad, When I did NLS with gms1 before the tunes, I would shift at like 5800 and it would be perfect lol.
