Non tuned BOV drivability?

I am looking at an 08 SS with a K&N SRI, Injen charge pipe with HKS BOV, AGP IC, etc. and I'm trying to figure out why the car runs bad at start up and low RPMs. I know it's not tuned for the BOV, but I don't see how that would make it run like crap at start up and low RPMs when driving. Am I wrong?

According to Vince it has a standard 22 psi select-a-tune. That's all he told me. Idk if it's tuned for the K&N or anything else.

a **** bov is about all i can say... hks break monthly, i have a tial never had any issue except when i put in a smaller spring then it ran like a bag. so most likely the spring is wearing down and the pin is about to **** the bed. ( the pin is what always breaks)

I'm just trying to make sure that the BOV is the problem and not something else. The BOV being stuck open would make sense though... I honestly don't care about the BOV so if I just got a new charge pipe and changed the vac lines back to stock that should fix it, right?

Most likely the bov is the issue, but yes if get you get a new hot side piping and put your old bpv in and re connect the vac lines everything should be good.

just do a datalog and send it to vince to glance and see if it needs tweaking, incase he did the ecp update for the bov.
And honestly the car feels slower with bov, dosent seem like its tuned as well as it was before, but bigger turbo will solve that ahah

Aha no worries man that's why you ask, well depending on the tune from trifecta basically you go on the website you download the easy flash then when u open the program you open the vehicule info then you click on datalog car just enter in DATALOG#1 or ewhat ever.

Plug your interface cable into your obd2 port which is underneath your money thing on the left. Then plug into your labtop click start on datalog and go for a rip!
Then press stop and email it off too WOT

Just try un hooking the bov and put the bpv back in... No more then 20 min job and if that's not the issue then put it back.

I think its the shitty bov

How would I just unhook the BOV though, it's welded in. If I disconnect the vacuum line from the BOV won't that just make the BOV leak metered air?

Well if you're asking if it sounds like that then no, that sounded like a dying horse lol. The BOV sounds completely normal, the car just isn't set up for it. No tune, no MAF relocation. I just don't get why it runs so bad at low RPMs.

The hks ssqv is a pull type bov, meaning pressure keeps it closed, the more boost the tighter the seal. Disconnect the vacuum line and connect it to the stock bov if its still there.

Okay so I got very lucky and found the old owner and his number on here. He thinks that the low RPM problems are due to a "clogged MAP sensor". How serious is this? How much am I looking at to fix this?

I don't remember exactly how the vacuum lines are run but I know a vac line was still being run to the stock BPV. Should I just find a way to plug the vac line going to the BOV after I disconnect it?

Get some Mass air flow sensor cleaner. Spray off the map sensor on the intake manifold, and clean the mass air flow sensor while you're at it. Most local auto parts stores should have them. Usually when a map sensor goes bad, it throws a CEL or two.

Yeah that's what I've read, sounds pretty easy. I just wanted to make sure a clogged MAP could be the cause of running like crap at low RPMs.
