Opel HP Direct Inject Fuel Injectors

So I purchased this on Black Friday for a great deal. My question, how sensitive are fuel injectors? I’ve always read to handle with care, or there may be failure sooner than they should. I’m hoping I can get the whole thing replaced for cheaper than it cost me to replace one injector 3 years ago $600!! Well now I’ve got another injector giving me trouble so I bought this whole set for $315, but it’s packaging seems iffy when I’ve read all kinds of post about injectors.... what are your thoughts. Will it be ok, or should I return it?

side note: does anyone know how to install this yourself?

firstly u need a tune to use em. n its pulling em out u gotta b careful, putting them in is easy. i believe u remove the high pressure fuel pump lines possible the pump, disconnect throttle body from charge pipe, and then basically take off all the wires and hoses that run above intake manifold n remove the manifold then u can pull the old rail out. its pretty easy to do but how do you know your injector is bad did u do a injector balance test or are u taking a guess at a misfire

Intake manifold needs to be removed. You can keep the throttle body mounted to the intake during removal. Fuel pump can stay on but the fuel line needs to be removed. You should also first remove the fuel pump relay from the under hood fuse box and run the car till it dies out.Technically the fuel line should be replaced, but I've have had mine off quite a few times and I dont always replace it, but it is good insurance. Then you have wide access to removing the injector rail. You can use a small pry bar to get under it and work your way across to remove it. Be careful of that sharp part on the head. It will get you lol. The Opel ones specifically are VERY delicate. You should never try to remove them from the rail they come on. There is a WD40 straw size tip on each injector that breaks very easily.I had a set I had attempted to carefully remove the injectors and I broke every one. Or they were already broken maybe.Sometimes it will run fine with broken tips. Mine did. Others have high rpm missfires. Interestingly enough the LNF injectors lack these "straws".

When you go to install the rail, put some fresh oil on the injector seal, and turn each bolt in a few turns at a time moving bolt to bolt to draw the rail in evenly. Also before you fire it up, turn the key on and off 5 or 6 times listening for the fuel pump to prime. Its only a 2 hour job, and thats taking your time.

I saw that too. Problem being you cant take it out to look at it or it breaks for sure. Its a catch 22. Maybe gently move the other ones and see if they all move that slight amount without encountering resistance?
