how does a gt30r compare to the s20g cause im about to pick one up used with only 1500 miles and a new hks bov for 600 off my buddy who just blew up his sr20 240?

How long would it take to swap the turbo guys lol? Iam hoping it will take 5 hours or less

Gt30 is a better turbo but once again you can't really compare. To make that turbo work you would need a new manifold, dp, lines, wastgate solution ( if it is external ), charge pipes modified to work, ect.

Lazaro it is possible you could do it in 5 hours with things running smoothly, but I would allow a full day to doing it just incase you need odds and end things like fitings, gaskets, ect. Also allow time for stubborn bolts, mishaps and all that good stuff.

They're fairly similar but the gt30 is bigger. I wouldnt do it thought. A used turbo, and you have to fetch for other parts to make it work with your car. Not worth the headache.


Probably 5-7 hours. if you know what you're doing..

Iam getting the turbo friday and their missing a oil line its on back order and they dont know when it will be available they said this week, and builing tuesday because he works sunday

So are you gonna control it with a manual boost controlller Inline with the p.I.d controller or just.ecm. its internally gated and I beleive it runs a 9,12,14lbs spring ...

Trifecta already has a tune for this turbo upgrade? I am sure some WOT and partial throttle data logs are needed to dial her in, but stock replacement and add BOV? That's it? How much is that billet BOV Hahn sells? $1500 get me 100whp? Wow.

I don't hate Trifecta, just have an opinion on which is better. Trifecta was better than hptuners at one point tho.
