Ordered a replacement muffler
So I am working nights and got bored so I decided to look around for something to do to my car. I decided to put a replacement muffler on(had to clear it with wifey) I ordered a Megan M-N1 as my replacement. I know I should have sprung for a downpipe but that will be a birthday present in August, I justified this one as a Fathers Day gift. Will post pics after instal and some vids for sound.

Why not? I have heard the TC with the muffler delete and was not a fan of it so I decided on running a muffler that should be a bit louder than stock but not raspy like with a muffler delete.

I checked ebay and didnt find anything, either way I didnt pay too much to where I would worry about it. It is going on the stock system just cutting the muffler out and placing this one in.
I will say thank god its a joke about the 25" wheels but regardless why would you come in just to bash on someone. I have been in the car/truck forum scene for a while and this forum has by far some of the cockiest, arrogant ******** I have ever seen. Not everyone just some.

So Hptuners will be a better tune I take it? I would only be looking to go modest with it.

Catless on stock exhaust really made no difference for the sound. It gets a little louder when the wastegate opens. And you can hear the turbo a lot more.
My LSJ was catless. Talk about loud and rhaspy. The LNF...not at all. It can be loud but def sounds good.
You tune your own car. Or flash it with a tune you aquired from someone else.

Plenty of people have blown on self tunes as well.
That's what happens when you run the ***** out of your car day in and day out.
And in fact, trifecta has some of the better tunes for the 2.2 and 2.4 guys....

I know about HPtuners, I had a tune on a Silverado I had using their software. I have heard good stuff from people with Trifecta but then again they are probably bias. I figured if I talked to anyone it would be BYT, seems to be very knowledgable on the subject.
I understand I may draw some rice attention but then again here in Texas if you dont drive a truck you draw attention, hell the only races I have had in the car have been against trucks.

Yes and no. Some of it IS user error and beating on the car no doubt. On the other hand I would refuse to tune some of the things he does regularly just bc of the fact that it's stupid. 2.8 42's are a common thing I see from people tuned by him = dumb. Same goes for the LNF's, running just stupid boost levels for the k04 is going to end in problems too.

What kills the LSJ is people doing back to back to back runs. EGT's skyrocket. #4 pops.
As for the LNF. the LNF can handle boost. The tunes are just too rich for the DI engine.

I found a guy here in Houston and talked a bit on the phone, he seemed legit but I decided to google his company name and it was the best internet search I had ever done, he had screwed up so many cars it was unreal, he kept blowing up my phone about the tune and I finally told him I wasnt interested. I try to be real carefull when I do stuff to my vehicles because anyone can ruin a persons car when they have no ties to it.
